This group has been formed to gather the people who enjoy Japanese anime and all of its facets, to salute the people from the land of the Rising Sun.

We do not want any ecchi or hentai images in the image gallery. Those that are posted will be removed. Also, take it easy in posting your entire collection of Naruto images. You should only share a few that you personally like. For the rest, people can always find them on their own. I recommend posting a link in your description (and every image should ideally contain a description).

One of these glorious moments when a game manages to catch the "feel" of the original, and said original is the Attack on Titan anime.
Here's the game itself btw (release date TBD)

I'm not going to post any images about it 'cuz that usually doesn't blow over well for non-Anime stuff, but I'd still like to mention an awesome web series called No Evil. It has really fine animation, and I think the character designs are interesting and kind of unique.

It takes place in a southern-America kind of setting. It has a very mysterious, but playful vibe to it. There isn't much of a coherent plot until the later episodes. You can find it on Newgrounds if you're interested.

Is it wrong of me to only start to get into Anime, after I've seen 'Mainstream.' Anime?

Examples; (I don't find them Mainstream, but others do.)
Attack On Titan.
(Can't think of any others at the moment. ;-;)

I mean-... In a respectful standpoint, what are some that can take me into it deeper, without being 'Mainstream.' ?

And to add, I've seen/I'm watching.

Black Lagoon.
Log Horizon.
Hellsing Ultimate.
Dragon Ball, and Dragon Ball Z Kai.
One Piece.
Gurren Lagan.
And lastly, some of Death Note.

(If I messed up on spelling, please tell me.) ^~^

Personally, I don't care if an anime is "mainstream" or not; if I like it, that's all what matters to me.
You shouldn't listen to the people that criticize something just because it's "mainstream". Many of the anime that you've listed are really great. If you want my advice, you should really watch Death Note, Gurren Lagan and Bleach, and watch the rest, of course. But start with a short one like Death Note; Bleach is awesome, but it's long.

Here are a few that can take you "deeper":
Mirai Nikki
Angel Beats
Fate/Zero (and Unlimited Blade Works)

There are a lot of great anime out there.

Bleach is crap, as it's basicly 95% filler with an ever-repetitive pattern. The rest are definitely among the better ones though.

I personally liked Bleach's main story a lot. However, I do agree about the fillers; they were quite annoying. I definitely wouldn't recommend Bleach to someone who's new to anime; it might give him/her a bad impression about anime.

My advice? Don't let people tell you what is and is not good. If you like something, that's not their problem. For the most part, most animes out there are leagues above traditional western animation quality. Even dubs, even "******" dubs. (Most people's definition of this is the direct translations are wrong even though the general point still gets across. But most people don't understand how hard it is to translate from Japanese to, well, anything...)

Heh, I try not to let people tell me what to do, but sometimes people go out of hand to try to tell me not to do something, even though I'm determined to do whatever anyhow, but I still appreciate it.
