The stuttering caused by the video software I hope? I have to be honest though the trailer is a bit lacking, just seems like a flyby of the tower of london. 0,o

Can haz beta key please?
Because this does look quite awesome indeed. Better than Dino D-Day.
How will the multiplayer function? Could someone clear this up for me? I mean, will there be a *true* free roam mode (with everything doable in the SP doable in the MP)?
I know it's still a beta, but it'd be nice to know.
So, after watching the video I must ask;
Where are/what are the sandbox elements?
So, should I download the vanilla Sins or Diplomacy varients of the mod the issue should not exist?
Infact, various textures are missing on ships. Is the standard Maelstrom Entrenchment mod required for the 'expansion' (extended) version? I gathered from the file size that it was standalone. If not you should really indicate somewhere that it is required. o,0
Trade Alliance fighters appear to be 'broken' in the latest Entrenchment 'Expansion' build. It would seem that the ships themselves have no texture and that when they fire their weapons the large muzzleflash stays infront of them.. Thoughts? (I do have an up to date version of the game by the way.)
Could you lot actually provide detailed changelogs please? It's getting silly, every update seems to have relatively the same description.. Which for most people would give no real incentive to update. =/
Just found this mod the other day, although I've had Homefront 2 (and Homefront) since their releases. I must say that this mod GREATLY enhances the vanilla Homeworld 2 gameplay (which I admit feels restrictive somewhat), surprised I haven't uncovered this mod before.
Whilst I haven't personally played the mod, I think that you've made a very bad decision in caving in to baseless threats made by people like Jack Thompson. The only thing this action will cause is for people to choose to go to another mod-site like MoDDB, why? Well, simply because there are tonnes and tonnes of controversial mods out there, some which can be considered perfectly fine to others... What will you do? Remove them too?
As Holdenmcclue said, you've given in and thus given the people making these baseless complaints a little taste of power and as such they won't give up. Your actions haven't done anything to hinder the mod, only your own reputation.
I usually have vsync disabled, it would appear that enabling it resolved the issue.
I just downloaded the latest available version of this mod and tried to play it. Everything loaded fine, selected factions, map, etc -- However I encountered a major issue;
An unplayable framerate on what is, a high-end gaming rig.
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate, x64
CPU: AMD 1055T at 2.8GHz.
RAM: Healthy 8GB @ 1600MHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX580
Any ideas?
There is no download...
No, Desaster, you download the .exe if you want automated installation of the mod, the .big if you want to manually install the mod.. The src (source) can be ignored safely.
Note, you have a choice between advanced shader support or not (identified by the files name). If you have a remotely modern PC you should be safe downloading the shader 2 varient (Best)
It works just fine for myself...
If you're having issues you should try running it in compatability mode for Windows XP and run in administrator mode.
I won't abandon Steam, I think I will use Desura for purely mod management... To be honest I believe that Desura will fail, not because of it's concept - it's good. But because of the large amount of competition in that paticular area.
Yet another Update; Was working fine on EFLC however it has decided to randomly 'break'... All I see driving around are Taxi's (and their varients) or police cars.
A bump on this.
Mod works fine on EFLC.
Question.
I have GTA IV on my PS3, and the GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City pack on my PC via Steam. Will this mod function on GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City given it's a replacement mod? As I'd naturally rather not have to repurchase GTA IV. lol
Hmm, that's certainly odd. It appears to be running now of it's own accord (not in administrator mode, however). So I guess I'll give it a go and see if any other issues arise.
Yeah.. Unlikely to be a system resources issue as I have more than 2TB of HDD free aswell as 8GB of RAM. I've attempted running it as an administrator yet the error still occurs, any other ideas?
So I downloaded the "demo" to give it a try, however after installing and attempting to run the game I recieve the error "failed to open zip". My OS is a 64bit Windows 7 Ultimate.
I believe you should upload some images or perhaps a trailer with in-game content, it will get more people interested. ;)
It's good to see that it is relatively still alive. :)
It looks interesting to say the least, yet microtransactions are what'll kill it.
I just stumbled apon this whilst looking at the MODDB front page. I must admit it looks awesome so far. Can't wait for your first release.
I can confirm that it functions on Windows 7 inc 64-bit. ;)
Yes, as far as I am personally aware - It does. (Not an official response of course)
You can use Photoshop or GIMP for making the textures, both now have built in support for the format MoW uses (I believe)
