Newman's been working hard on the new Basestar model for some months now and the results speak for themselves. At 120 000 tris and three 2048x2048 textures she's something to behold.

I have a question tho, will it support widescreen?
I'm asking because thats all I got and I've just finished playing Freelancer in 4:3 ratio on a 16:9 screen (looked pretty messed up)
Wide screen is mostly supported. There are still a few minor issues with it but nothing to keep you from using it. I use both 1024x768 and 1360x768 without even noticing. Support for 720p resolution was just added to the code as well so you can use hires graphics below x768. Can't remember the specific resolutions it supports off the top of my head.

yeah, I think lots of people are looking forward to a release. I suppose it's hard to finish a project of that massive a scale, however once you update, you'll see just how many people are still enthusiast about this game. Who knows - maybe you get the chance to sell a full version of the game. I wouldn't mind buying, but first build your prototype and LET US PLAY :)
