Incredible visuals and breadth of vision. Loved the shinny textures and models, the concept is awesome too. Unfortunatelly it doesn´t play as well as it looks. Also it should be "Earth do you hear me?" or "Earth do you copy me?".
This mod is not suppored by Megaton. It only runs on Eduke32, which is what we provide with the mod.
I said this many times, but it´s ok because I´ll say it in another way: The goal of this mod was to stand on the spike of Duke3d´s oldschool mechanics and graphics while telling the story of DNF as it was going to be in 2001. We made the graphics to look oldschool on purpose, we could have used a lot of modern looking things that are available in Eduke32 but we choose to make it look and make it play like Duke3d.
No. It comes with its own executable and you need the Atomic Edition duke3d.grp file to run with it.

Sure. It´s named Southernmost Combine. You can see it on my profile. But I haven´t updated the mod´s page in ages. Most of the media posted there is very outdated.
No DLC is planned but a big update may be possible. I´ve been busy working on another mod for HL2. Once I´m done with that, I MAY begin to work on this big update.
Thanks for your answer. I have no experience with hl2 coding. I was hoping to find someone to compile your codebase for me. But this isn´t something I have thought well enough.
I a question. Your mod features many things I´d love to have in my mod like multiple projected textures and ambient occlusion but it seems to be simplified/cut in other areas such as weapons and env_suit. If I compiled your source code as it, removing the Estranged name from it -and giving proper credit, of course- will a regular ep2 mod work within it? I mean, does it break anything from the original game or it´s just the improvements?

So sad! It was a really cool concept and the demo was really cool to play. It could have been kick *** if things like splitscreen would be included. At least release what you had!

No. It utilizes Eduke32, which is a source port with many features that the Megaton Edition lacks. It wouldn´t be worth even trying to downgrade the mod for Megaton.
Just PC. It runs on Eduke32 source port, which is much more advanced than what comes for the Xbox.
Since a couple of months I´ve been working really hard on it. I don´t want to spoil the whole thing showing screenshots of every corner but I´ll think about some updates. Just for your info: The three maps the mod will include are in a state of about 80%, and done. After that I have to do some finetunning and set up the whole thing. Be glad, some of the stuff I´ve done lately beats the **** of all the media posted here.
Hell man! that video was awesome! I expect no less than 10 hours of vertiginous gameplay and a lot of new enemies, characters and weapons! I can´t wait for the MOTY for seeing this one making it to the "best upcoming".
It´d be awesome if at some point modders could use this as a base to enhace their mods. I mean, merging these cool effects with cool mods, so there are new effects and new maps to play.

Are you using some kind of FOV effect? Why the scenary looks blurry at short range and sharp at the distance?
