Hmm.. How did you surpass the levels.txt byte size? or whatever it's called.
Cause with all these options you should've surpassed it by now, if this is fully working.
I had to remove the option of selecting costumes of the characters in KFE as i halfway through couldn't add anymore to the levels.txt without gettting errors :/
Then you for one should know it didn't work very well.
Also, you should provide them with a better system. Can't give them a alpha system you made and expect them to make it epic. If you can't make it epic, then no one else can.
Good job guys! I, for one has been doubting what you were doing alot. But seeing it coming together now, as a whole piece, is really cool! You've come along way, and if you keeo your focus on this, i can see it turning into something big!
Also to make clear, i don't see mp3 to be superior in any way. Other than shootdodges, guns and multiplayer etc. But i don't think mp3 took out as much as you say. The noir in mp2 was to me only visible in the Graphic novels, however kinda dissapeared ingame as everything was too well lit. Where i think mp3 hitted that feeling better. Obviously not in the day levels, but there it made sense everyrhing was lit up lile that, wherr in mp2 basicly every level was lile day light :) and no writing is definately not as good as in mp1 and 2. Bu itt made sense that max after 9 years after mp2, with heavy drinking, had changed.
At some point the story needed ti progress from valkerie etc. Also there arr hint to vinnoe and nicole horne in the cemetwry level. So they didnt keep everything in the dark.
Max's motivation was always some sort of vengeance for the innocent he couldnt save and being at the wrong place at the wrong times :p Was in mp1, 2 and 3.
There's Seranno the favela boss, that soldier guy that burns that dude in the tires, the guy at the favela and hotel who tortures serano at one point and removes organ from the people they captured at the favela. If that not dark and gritty compared to the ****** enemies in mp2, i dont know what is :p

I don't recall it being in MP2 at all. And if anything MP2 had the most bland and boring story of the 3. 3, removed Graphic novels and used an dynamic version with cutscene, wich at first i thought great, however i miss the actual graphic novels. But 3 did stay closer to the roots than 2 did. Mp2 left the dark and gritty characters out completely, where 3 embraced that brazil IRL has some crazy people and brougt the Jack Lupino type maniacs back. Furthermore it shows the desolation of Max, making him more vulnerable than ever before and pushing him over the edge again. MP3 could have done better, true. However it kicks mp2 *** by far and gives a fine conclusion to Max.
Also you seem to swear to Sam Lake, remember he's one that thought they'd do better making Alan Wake, rather than Max Payne. So he had a part selling the franchise to Rockstar to get the economy to do so. So he's the real badguy here.
Last, if you want the norse mythology, go watch max payne the movie xD they took it to a whole nother level :p

Yeah it is possible. However nothing will get as smooth as MP3 in this engine. And Silver already made them look as much as mp3's as possible.
Also it seems like the clipping comes from the engine not knowing how to blend in the animated jacket from running and shooting animations. Cause the jacket are properly animated on shoot animations. So i don't think it can be fixed without someone else complaining about some new animation fault.
Well fun fact.. The Silver is the author of that mod.
However, the way the OTS is setup in that mod, is impossible to implent in PEVO as it uses some of the same mechanics that makes up the limited weapon system. Also you would only be able to have the same pistol and rifle through all levels.
Do it yourself.
Just download a mod with a level selector, complete the last level and load up payne evolution again. This should open dmw, or atleast the chapter select so you can skip the condemned levels :)

It's was always my main point to make sure there was characters that would suit everyone who played the mod ;) And actually Hulk has his own secret menu if you can find it ;)
He was actually wanting to do this for PE3. But as soon as the levels got added the Materials ingame got messed up, and when you hit metal it played water particles and stuff like that. It could shut down the game, but it's so long ago i really can't remember.
But it got scrapped cause you couldn't fix it :)

I'm done with mp2 modding. Only thing i do is helping others like The_Silver and other modders with whatever i can.
Did you unpack the mod so you have a data folder in your mp2 directory? If so deselect the "Payne Evolution" from the selection list and start the game. The data folder will act as thr mp2m :)
RasMaster or RasShaper. Probably the easiest tools to unpack the mod with :)
Mappers with that kind of knowledge is basicly extinct on this engine. not being to sarcastic, I think one would have more luck winning 1 million bucks, than finding a mapper for mp2, there's willing to put in all that work :P
It's easy as soon as you unpack the mod :) Just have to convert your tracks to .wav :)
Do you have a Data folder in the Max Payne 2 install folder?
Cause if that error really was present in the mod everyone would get it. And i can use the 608 bull perfectly when i use cheats.

You sure about that? They've recorded **** loads of lines for max in MP3, im sure you haven't heard half of them ingame yet :)
put -developer -developerkeys at the end of your mp2 shortcut properties. It usualy fixes that problem.
But you are invincible in that time plus it gives you the control back basicly where you had your gun aimed so it's a quick roll or a new shootdodge to get away from whatever enemy fire you could encounter :)

The script limit for new characters has been reached. He can't add any more characters.
So you can mod Payne Evolution and replace one of the other character skins with panama max.
But you would have to rig the model yourself etc.
Frame Rate drop is probably more related to your PC's specs than this mod. Though this mod does need a heavier pc than what the usual mp2 does.
And the execute does work. In DMW he punches instead of the takedowns. Up close to an enemy press E and watch it happen. There can be some times where the takedown isnt activated on max while the enemy still plays is death animation. But rarely this happens compared to it working flawlessly. So keep trying :)
