After tallying up the 54,933 votes, nominations have ended and voting for the Top 100 mods are underway (see also top games, apps and vr). Now another 10 days of voting begins as the Top 100 Mods battle it out to crown the 2016 winner. You have up until the 21st of December pick who will take away the 2016 Mod of the Year!
Popular picks among the Top 100 this year include Enderal, Brutal Doom, Counter-Strike: Classic Offensive and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Chernobyl among many other great mods. It seems many of the classics and community favorites from games like Mount and Blade, Total War, Doom and others continued to chart well and draw us back again and again to these amazing games.
"You can vote for more than one mod, so vote for all your favorites!"
If you made it to the Top 100, don't miss this opportunity to spread the good word and get the support you need to take the winners crown, keep showcasing all your hard work and informing the community of your releases! Congratulations for the huge effort to mods that made the final count and for those that didn’t it was very close. Best of luck in top 100!
Tell us what you are voting for and/or disappointed missed out
I'm voting for Forgotten Hope 2, my favorite BF2 mod! As for the disappointments... I'm disappointed that ET:Legacy didn't make it here. It's the best Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory mod in my opinion, and it would have deserved to be in Top 100 in regards of what its developers have produced this year (and the past years, as well).
Thank you for saying that. I am also dissapointed, but unfortunately the competition is just so incredibly good. I would like to know on which rank we ended up on, but sadly there is no extended rank list.
My thanks goes out to everyone who voted and we have had a lot of new traffic to our site, so this competition was a good thing for us as well.
Congratulations to everyone in the TOP100. I'm voting for Forgotten Hope2 and The Dark Army.
You finished in the Top 150... really sucks I know, it pains me every year when I see the mods that missed :(
Oh wow, thank you very much for looking it up.
150 is already damn impressive, seeing the amazing competition on this side. If my math knowledge isn't too rusty, that's the top 1% :)
time for a top 200
Hey INtense, I'm curious, how did Entwicklung do in the rankings! Thank you for your time and I look forward to your reply!
Fell just outside the top 200 this year. Looking forward to your mods XMAS release :D
What was the exact position of For Rome, its wonderful it made the top 100, and it is really appreciated, but what exact position
Your exact position in phase 1 was 85
I spoke with Joe Brammer, the lead developer from "Battalion 1944", over on "Steam", a couple of days ago, KeMoN. He's been very impressed with "ET: Legacy" and he's organising an "ET: Legacy Frag Night" with the Bat44 Community.
I'll keep you posted with the details.
I'm voting for Crossfire 2.0, best Freelancer mod out there, with all of the best graphics and team a modder could ask for! I'm disappointed that Warcraft II:Rise of Shadows didn't make it in the mods list. It was sadly cancelled because of the lack of modding team members. If there were more people, this mod would've been really cool to have.
Planetary Annihilation: Legion
Actually, where is the list of the top 100 for this year? You know from #1 down to #100.
Voting is closed, but the list is here: Moddb.com
Glad to see that my mod, The Dark Army: Uprising ( Moddb.com ), made it this far! Can't thank enough the awesome voters/players, and this website's amazing community, for such a kind proof of support! :D
Thank you everyone who voted for Zombie Panic! Source after years of existence. We're still working hard to bring this game back to life for few more years!
I think many are excited
9 years and still no BFME mods cracking that top 100.
You mean BFME1? Because BFME2 and RotWK are well-represented.
That is why I said BFME and not BFME2 or ROTWK Edain places every year.
Sad my Perfected Doom 3 mod didn't crack the top 100. It had such a good year.
That dang Dark Mod. :P
Good luck to all.
Wait till next year bro, my new premium pack version has much more to offer, and even more to come in future plans, I learn new things everyday. This Christmas when it's released is gonna be a blast. Hopefully the constant updates of the premium pack that will be done every few months should keep perfected going.
Good to hear.
Prophesy of Pendor and Warsword Conquest for Mount & Blade: Warband.
Couldn't just pick one. Both are great for various reasons and it was hard to select a favourite.
Voted for Prophesy of Pendor and Warsword Conquest for Mount and Blade Warband. I was saddened that Perisno didn't make it. however, i want Enderal to win the top 100.
