In MekArcade you get to pilot a giant war machine in the 35th century, and experience all the explosive, multi-pilot, online meka actions you can ever want. The exciting news for 2014 is we have teamed up with TheIntercooler games, making a much stronger team and one more able to render for you the best Meka action in the Galaxy. MekArcade will include single pilot and multi-pilot missions, these can be played locally, online or over a LAN. Intelligent bots can join in both multiplayer and single pilot missions. There are a wide range of mission types and mutators for those missions. In addition the game has the amazing Cube engine map editor, that makes map making a breeze and even lets you edit maps cooperativly, online with your friends. That is always amazing. MekArcade is set in the 35th century in the 'Terrasphere', and after the AI wars & Exodux. The Terrasphere is the complete extension of human, and human derived cultural activities, through space and hyperspace. In the 35th C the Terrasphere spreads over nearly 500 light years of space around Sol. It includes, by definition human, derived AI and AI culture. It's a sprawling and unruly place, filled with modded humans (tweaks & genies), AIs, post humans, cyborgs & even a few trillion Primes. Broken into groups separated by light years, ideology and technology there is eternal conflict. And beyond the Terrasphere lies the uncharted starlanes and sperhaps trange alien empires whose natures are unknown.
On the art front, all the meka models have been done, and it's a matter of working out how the weapons/armor works. The art team have been very busy. We have also built all the humanoid SP characters that you will be able to play as. On the code front, it looks like full dynamic lighting is on the way. I'll tighten the nipple clamps on Quiton and try to get him to do 'destrcutibles' to go with the lights.
