Mech Commander Omnitech 304
Apr 1, 2013 MechCommander Omnitech Full Version 9 commentsMech Commander Omnitech is standalone game. There is no need for Mech Commander 2 installation nor disk. There is no need for XNA installation any more...
As the MechCommander, you control a company of mercenary MechWarriors in a real-time game of power, combat, and treachery set in the BattleTech® Universe. Drawn into a bitter struggle for supremacy among three warring noble houses, you must use your strategic knowledge and tactical skills to change the balance of power in a region of space known as the Chaos March.
Command enormous BattleMechs
In MechCommander 2, MechWarriors take their orders from you! From your dropship, you command up to 16 BattleMechs—from the nimble Raven, equipped with sensors and electronic countermeasures, to the massive Atlas, bristling with deadly firepower. Choose from some of the most popular ‘Mechs in BattleTech history, as well as 4 never before seen in the BattleTech Universe.
Put the right MechWarrior in the right ‘Mech for the mission
Leverage the unique strengths of each ‘Mech and each MechWarrior to create tactical advantages. Customize your units and train your pilots to create the ultimate pairing of man and machine. Use sensor ‘Mechs to uncover enemy locations. Use long-range ‘Mechs to weaken incoming assaults. Use jump 'Mechs to bypass enemy fortifications.
The power to take – and use - what you want
Capture a weapons facility and refit your 'Mechs with superior new technology. Take a turret control building and watch your enemy’s 'Mechs get cut to pieces by his own defenses. Fly in a Salvage Craft, grab a downed enemy’s 'Mech and use it against him in the same mission.
Fully 3D state-of-the-art terrain determines your tactics
Sensors, probes, and scouts become vital strategic elements when faced with varying geography. Knock down trees, blow through walls, jump-jet onto cliffs and step on anything standing in your way to victory. Move from epic scale to up-close and personal with the easy-to-use camera controls. Night missions add atmosphere and a new game play dimension.
Extensive, persistent campaign
Develop your team into the perfect fighting force: with each mission your ‘Mech pilots gain skill, moving from fresh-faced metal jockeys to elite MechWarriors. Emerging weapon, armor, and other custom upgrades ensure that you’re on the cutting edge of destruction.

Hey ho!
Eventually after more then 3 years I'm able to release this campaign to the public. Incredible how many things you have to check, check again and again until they work good-enough for a release.
Anyhow, big thanks again to Wolfman for his mod of MC2 (wolfman-MC2X (R20) ) which allows me to use the object density for the missions I was looking for and the stability you need while playing them. And my good fellow hiaz for testing the missions again and again and again ...
But of course nothing is perfect so please take a moment and check the following:
- qucksave often but quickload rarely! There are a few bugs connected with quickloading which are in some maps more obvious (ice map) then in others (last one). Most noticeable the scripted ai-path can get corrupt. This can lead to ai units standing bit confused around and making the whole gameplay easier then intended. So I've your able try plying without quickload to get the real impression of action going on!
- you don't have to! Just extract the zip somewhere and play. Maybe you have to install the vcredist_x86.exe. It's in the zip.
The maps are for sure not free of problems. Sometimes bc MC2 is not the most forgiving game when it comes to script mistakes. Sometimes because random ai-scripting behavior is leading to strange things. If you find something tell me! If there's something I can do about I'll try to fix it.

I'm curious has any mod made a RTS style game play? Is this even possible on this engine or is the standard Multi-Player choose your pilots and variants to drop in with hard coded? What I mean by RTS is mech/ vehicle building (mid game) and maybe a base to destroy that controls unit deployment?
whats with the lag?
This was a great game, imho. I played it so many times when it first came out. If you liked this game, you should check out the MechCommander Omnitech mod on this site (for the lazy: Moddb.com ) It is built from the original source released by Microsoft, except with tons of updates - new mechs, updated graphics, AI, and gameplay. Its ridiculously awesome.
I prefered the look of the first Mechcommander myself and so did a lot of my friends who played it, this one was ok.
and please dont be a smart *** and say google it because google is unreliable with the sites they choose.
This game and it's sources can be downloaded for free.
Yes but from where?
this should be modded to hell...
what is that sposta meen?
