What is Wolfman MC2X?
It's a collection of enhancements for MechCommander 2 based on the free source code provided by Wolfman (www.wolfman-x.net).

Hi there!
The update to version 1.4 is out which brings HD textures for all maps.

You can download the full release and the update from here Borderworlds.maginot.eu

If you download the update use the cleaner AFTER you unzipped the files into the correct folders: Start DarkGray-Borderworlds.exe and hit "clean" or start "MC2XClean.bat" manually. Or the game might crash on loading a mission!
As this is an update where images tell more then words. Here are some comparison shots:

Hello. I wonder is it possible to extract mech models? I think about printing Shadow Cat model from the game. Not sure though if it will look OK without textures.

could i still play the offical Carver V campaign with this mod?

This is not a mod its a campaign for Wolfman MC2X which is distributed as complete package. Technically it is possible to copy/past all Carver V mission files into the relevant folders and play the campaign. But as the code for playing movies was not included by Microsoft they won't work. Best would be to talk to Wolfman himself how to get things going with the latest build of his mod.

when i salvage enemy mechs and move them to extraction it would finish the mission for some reason.

Which mission? Usually salvaged mechs behave from that moment on like any other mech.

I'd like to report a bug - I'm on the Resistance (M2 - The Resistance) mission, and whenever I capture the Missile Defence System building (objective b), the building instantly detonates like some terrorist put some explosives in it, causing all the turrets to go down... Does suck. Hope you're reading this =)

Nevermind, it was because I captured the building too soon. Makes it go boom, apparently.

But now, a new bug has presented itself. So I'm on this ice-mission (forgot the name, the map with the huge base in the north) and I completed just about every objective. The helicopters are hovering about the HPG-thing (which is transmitting) and I was told to "warm ourselves up before departing", but I've been "warming myself up" for the past 5 minutes now... A bug, perhaps?

when I click on the Exe file to start, I get the dark grey world screen that comes up, when I click on play it gives me another box that either flashes up and goes away or another that locks up (wolfman-MC2X Extended gaming executable revision 20 - not responding)

try to start the MC2XGame.exe inside the mc2s folder. Some firewalls block the functionality of the starter exe
