Do you have what it takes to survive the relentless wrath of the Progeny? Upgrade, unlock, activate and survive.
"War does not determine who is right - only who is left" -- Bertrand Russell
Do you have what it takes to survive the relentless wrath of the Progeny? Discover, upgrade, unlock, activate and survive.
Set in a far fetched future, you play as a Reinforced Intergalactic Livalink Trooper (RILT), a special operations organisation involved in the Livalink project. Years of exploration and research have discovered what was once, and wished was still unknown. The discovery of a new race known as 'the Progeny' proved violent and reckless, retracing the breadcrumbs of our ventured exploitations back home.
Fight against increasignly difficult waves of Progeny attackers. Experience a variety of unique weaponry, upgrades and combinations that will result in a different gameing experiance eachtime you play.
Livalink features a variety of unique weaponry and upgrades. Earn credits by collecting kills, bonuses, levels and achievements. These credits will become your best friends, choose wisely how you spend them. Each action in Livalink has a consequence, by spending your hard earned credits on unlocking doors will also activate attached spawn points, making the game increasingly difficulty, however you will discover new equipment and weapons as well a mysterious chest that will thrive on your gambling addiction.
Content will frequently be added including maps, weapons, upgrades and even new Progeny ai. If you wish to support Livalink's development simply check out Livalink on Desura or Steam and share the information around!

This game is awesome, reminds me of the good old times I had when playing horde on gears of war for the first time... plain awesome!

At first glance Livalink appears to be a generic shooter. But upon playing its 2 selectable levels, you see how little variety the game has to offer. The level design consists of a few dull, short, near identical hallways, and a few tiny, uninteresting rooms. The enemies that I saw were basically the same visually, with only differences being in height, width, and hue. Weapons were limited.
Overall the game was dull and repetitive.

Sir, please consider providing a demo version.
This last update it's really nice, but I wish to see better upgrades(switch upgrades or expierence) and better weapon performance(upgrades or attachments on weapons). I think it needs more polished gameplay mechanics (a la killing floor or modern warfare), but at the actual state it's really fun (maybe a little boring after 40 minutes of survival). Also a new GUI style update could be great. The rest is well done.
Good luck to Ben4views at Steam Greenlight.
The latest update is amazing. Tnx.
Yay, new map! Awesome!
tracking this game looks intresting but i wana see what you do with it more if anything this seems it might be a future buy for me
anyone know how large the download is for this?
Exe installer is 33mb,
linux is 50 including 32/64 bit,
Mac is 47 mb
Desura client launch should be fairly similar.
I'll be updating the game shortly with new map content and a lot of improvements keep an eye out for that.
Looks good. Is there a demo?
You should do updates in the news not comments FYI so people tracking get notified, it just makes things easier :), especially for people who don't use the Desura client!
How about then adding some graphic once reaching level 5 to signify that its the max level? And some warning about the level cap as well, so newbies can plan their upgrades a bit better.
Also, as the guns become less and less effective with every wave, without additional upgrades it's quite easy to run into a wall. I'm assuming by wave 40 it would take 20 headshots with the rocket launcher to down one of the enemies :)
