The old TZoW (The Zone of War) mod, released five years ago (January 30, 2015), is no more. I have recently tested this mod and came to the conclusion that it's quality leaves to be desired. It cannot be considered a polished & solid modification. All media related to it has been removed, download file included. It's time to move on and create a better substitute.

Warzone Campaign Revival (WCR) is a modification for Warzone 2100, seeking to overhaul the singleplayer campaign's deeply flawed balance.

Compatible version: 3.3.x

PLANNED FEATURES:

Removal of time limit for all but three missions: they only made sense from a storytelling perspective in four occasions:
1) The last Beta mission, where NEXUS launches a nuclear missile towards Beta base as soon Alpha base is destroyed.
2) The second Gamma mission, where Gamma team tasks you to prevent NEXUS' nuclear missile launch site from sending one towards your recently established foward base.
3) Still in the second Gamma mission, where you must guide your forces towards a safe haven, after NEXUS activates the warheads self-destruct countdown from the recently destroyed launch site's.
4) The penultimate Gamma mission, where NEXUS gives you five minutes to surrender before swarming you with lots of units.

No more fragile units and structures: large-scale battles last longer.

No more sluggish units.

Overall gameplay rebalanced: no more sluggish units, especially tracked units, all weapons shall be useful for their respective roles, improved tech tree, and cyborgs are now viable units (watchout for anti-cyborg units).

New weapon turrets to be researched and mounted on vehicles.

Strength through variety + hard counter weapon system: use all your available tools correctly to overwhelm and crush the Project's foes.

Improved unit rank progression: units will reach hero rank much faster.

This mod is very unbalanced, don't waste your time, trust me.
At first few missions you think it's fun, but after that it becomes extremely boring and hard. Can be beaten only with cheats.

yep its all good until the new paradigm show up at your home zone ....they send about 200 fkn mortar tanks at you for a start , and with the increased range your base will become extinct

It's because the new version switched to javascript. Sadly I don't know/understand enough to do anything about that... hopefully the author is going to work on it?

This is a great mod, a real gamechanger. I only recently discovered WZ 2100 has become freeware, i played it a lot on PS 1 back in 2000. I played trough alpha campaign and then found this mod. Started all over again. WOW ! THIS is like a grown-up version ! But beware, with this mod, game get's a LOT harder ...can be frustrating sometimes. (Maybe i'm gettin to old...) Anyway, Thanx alot!

Great job on the rebalancing dude,, also the lack of a mission timer.. Gives a classic game a nice change of pace.. :)

Hi, thank you for this great mod. Im gona write how good this mod really is. Campaign wise, removal of timer is perfect with increased difficulty. Compared to vanilla, scavengers and enemies build and send more units. Carefully increased ranges and vision of units promotes new level of gameplay. Game engine simulates
relativelly 3d field of vision and ballistic. Accuraccy upgrades and accuracy overall is now very important. Using of terrain takes effect. You can for example cover behind hills or use slopes to your advantage vs. Larger enemy force. I personally believe games/mods like this are future of rts. I dont like old rts model of units shooting at 5 metres distance just depleting other units health points. Anyway good job. Im gona complete warzone 2150 again with this mod.

Hey, I just started playing this mod (not even halfway through the first mission; Just got flamers), and I really have to ask; Is there a chance you could drop some more detailed changelogs for the later versions?
