How to install manually:

*If you are updating from a previous version, delete the previous version before installing.

Download and extract this .rar archive using WinRAR or an equivalent program.

If you are using the Steam version, you may place the "Halo Wars Scrubb Edition (Mod Version)" folder anywhere. If you have the windows store version, then you must put it here:

C:\Users\*YourUsername*\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.BulldogThreshold_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState

Open the "Halo Wars Scrubb Edition (Mod Version)" folder, then open "ModData" and copy the address/path.

Then if your using steam, go to:

C:\Users\*YourUsername*\AppData\Local\Halo Wars

If you are on windows store, then stay in the LocalState Folder.

Right click, create a .txt file and name it "ModManifest".

Open ModManifest and paste in the address that was copied.

Save ModManifest, and you're done

Example of the mod folder path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\HaloWarsDE\Medstar's HaloWarsDE Mod Manager\HWDE Mods\Halo Wars Scrubb Edition (Mod Version)\ModData


How to install with Medstar's Mod Manager:

Download and extract this .rar archive.

Download and install Medstar's Mod Manager

Follow the instructions given in the description of the Mod Manager

Place the "Halo Wars Scrubb Edition (Mod Version)" folder in the "HWDEMods" folder

Example of the mod folder path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\HaloWarsDE\Medstar's HaloWarsDE Mod Manager\HWDE Mods\Halo Wars Scrubb Edition (Mod Version)\ModData

Love how the mod looks so far, as of writing this ive been playing through the campaign and enjoying the small changes made to them. one small detail i loved is during the evacuation mission some of the arcadian police officers were replaced by "troopers" which used the insurrectionist models to look like local milita/garrison. small details like that just get me gidde and happy

Anyway, love the mod so far and glad that theres still some active mods for HWDE
hopefully your having a good time making the mod as much as we are loving the mod so far :D

Oh yeah one last thing
i saw you mentioned eventually (prolly not soon) that you plan to replace some of the infantry models with others
If so (this is just a suggestion) maybe if possible there could be a button in the options to disable said models? sometimes its neet too see the low poly infantry. but if its too much or just not worth while I understand 100% its your mod after all! :D

[Edit] Just found the Methane Refinery on the other new map and got the Elite Contract and Love it lots, even bringing the cool needler warthog from H5, and the hybrid scorpions was an awesome touch. love that kinda creativity and fun in rts stuff - not to mention the idea of maps with a gimmick where its worth to fight over certain territory makes matches so much more fun! (like FPS halo MP maps with power weapon spawns!)

It seems that building a Wolverine causes the game to crash. I've had it happen twice in a row with Forge so far.

The Rebel's uber unit (Cataphract) also appears to cause the game to crash when built.

Is there gonna be a major update in the future? Feel uber units are a tad too uber. Or perhaps its just the Pelican Gunship. Could maybe cut it's tankyness by half along with it's pop & resource cost. Also hope you add at least a few more starting units like the Hornets for the fourth campaign mission. Other than that, great work!

There likely won’t be an update coming for a bit, since I’m hoping to make the next release include the swords of sanghelios leader, which isn’t very far along atm since i’m stuck in the modeling phase for the structures

I Love the mechanics and new units this mod brings to the table. I Just wish the models for vehicle drivers and infantry were the same in quality as the Leader Overhaul or More Leaders mods changed models.

It'll get there one day when I revamp the vanilla leader rosters. That's when I plan on swapping out pretty much all of the vanilla unit models.

I'm glad to hear that because the vanilla models lack a lot of detail.

In case it helps in the future I did try to use the models from the Leader Overhaul mod but ran into issues with the majority of the infantry in Marine and ODST squads. The animations for firing their weapons were stuttering.

I don't know what is causing the issue precisely but from what I can tell its probably incompatibility between the animations and the squads assigned weapons.
