This mod was never dead, just in the webway slumbering! This is the original Harlequins Race mod for Dawn of War which has been handed down to a new team to complete. This is a mod for Dawn of War: Soulstorm which adds a new playable race to skirmish and multiplayer.

Description

My second map set in Svarog Sector. Its 4vs4 map, and although big, it can be quite fast. I suggest you use troop transports asap, but you can play without them as well. Enjoy it and rate as well. Cheers Zmaj

Fantastic work, bro, I can imagine the amount of work placing all that visual on correct heights. I would advice to put a different skybox though...

Odd unit behavior while climbing on high ground is OK due to the DOW mechanics. I faced same problem making this map: Strategyinformer.com

Great to see people are still making good content for Dawn of War.

I know the skybox isn't something, but believe me, after all the work that went into the map itself, I was so tired of it that I jumbled some sky and left it at that :)
Anyway, thanks for the info and complements...and dude, I just saw that map behind the link. I take my hat of to you my good sir. SoM is among personal top 5 maps for SS. It's an awesome map and I always wondered who made it. Small world I guess :D Do you still map for DOW?

Smaller than it seems, yes :)
I have some raw unfinished stuff for ME, but I didn't open it for really long time. I work with FX for some projects instead. Maybe I'll return to ME too, once )

For some mods I suppose? What is FX anyway, is it visual effects? I have meet with the term "FX" on many occasions but never did figure out what it was. Hope you do come back with some new awesome stuff.
Cheers mate

I'm getting a bunch of missing textures (the purple question marks). Is there anything else I need to download for this to work p.s. I have ultimate apocalypse and currently do not have black Templars installed is that what is causing the issues?

No, this map is standalone, does not require neither mod. I guess it never hurts to ask, you did install this map into Soulstorm? The missing files appear on the higher roads I presume and those would be textures that were from SS and can't be found in Dark Crusade. If you did install it into SS, would you just check all files are in their correct positions. If they are, would it be to much to ask to tell me the location of the textures missing, are they in the urban areas, in the forests, on the roads and I will try to help you out.
Do get back to me on this issue.
Cheers mate

Thanks for the quick reply, I reinstalled the map just to see if id messed up the order, but after reinstalling all the textures where still missing, found on the high roads between basses; 1,2,4,5,6,8. also I checked if the other maps had any errors and myrmidon prime has a few missing textures but they're out of the way and not really a problem. Thanks for the quick response let me know if theres any thing else you need :)

also I forgot to mention I used a variety of ways, initially I follow the instructions and made the folders and put the files into their right places, and after that the map wouldn't appear in the listings, then I tried inserting the files into the UA directory folder and then t showed up but the textures where missing.

Don't worry about the sub comments. Steam shouldn't be a problem. I think someone commented a while back that map works on steam. I just tried to install the map on my PC. I followed my own instructions and map was there in the skirmish section, I could select it but the textures were missing as well, on the roads and near the Administratum building. Now, to be frank, I don't get it. I know what textures I used for the road, and I'm almost 100% sure they were SS textures so it stands to logic they should work.
There is a chance that I used, without knowing, someones custom textures. Tell me, did you had any similar issues with Dangerous Waters map?
Right now, I have no idea what causes those ugly question marks, but I will try to figure it out in the next couple of days.

PhotogenicWhorse, status update. I found what you are missing. I can't really explain why, but it would seem that if you are missing certain decals in certain folder in SS, you will get purple question marks. Another strange thing. I don't think these decals are custom made, their parent folder is named "urban" and resembles vanilla folders you can find in both DC and SS, both filled with decals/textures of urban surfaces, such as roads, parks, traffic signs and stuff.
Once introduced into the correct folder at my own SS copy, map looked normal without question marks. PM your mail, if you don't mind and I will send you folder you need.
Correct file path for "urban" folder I will send you is
Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War - Soulstorm\DXP2\Data\Art\decals. I don't think you will have decals folder so just make it by hand, put in urban and you should be good to go.
Report back here if problem persists.
Cheers mate.

right you are, both of the folders DXP2 and 240k don't have any of the folders in them like data, art etc. I tried making them manually but the game still wouldn't register them. ill PM you my email now, thanks a=gain for the help.

Wow, this a great map. You must have put some proper work into this. I actually had to pause the game a few times just to scan the map and take in the view. My only complaint would be that it is limited to 8 player but I changed that. I keep finding new choke points every time I play it which is sorely lacking in other maps.

Thanks Tragicvision :) Proper work indeed, but payed off.
I like big maps, usually play 4vs4, most fun and challenging that way with ample space to try different strategies and enough time in the start to develop HQ and army. Always hated early rushes.
Ah, the lovely choke points, they are your friend. I myself like using the buildings, heavy cover and give impression of urban combat :)

I do like my choke points. Plenty of them in this. I dislike turtling so I like to move away from my main base and set new bases up. I might be the opposite to you in that fact where I always make an early rush. Not easy to do in this map ;)

I'm not a fan of turtling myself, but don't like to build more than one HQ. I do like to push the attack further than my own doorstep but I enjoy the knowledge that my base is secure far behind. Nope, this map is really not rush friendly, but in my experience rush friendly maps are usually 1 on 1 maps
