Corellia was never comfortable under Imperial Rule, despite enjoying status as one of the Core Worlds and a good deal of freedom and autonomy compared to many other Sectors. During the Interregnum, a number of Corellian government officials, in particular CorSec officers, lead revolts and founded resistance bases to fight the Empire even while their homeworld remained under Imperial control. These cells have kept good relations with the Corellian Engineering Corporation, which has flourished as the need for ships has grown in all corners of the Galaxy.
