Vanguard of the New Republic image - Star Wars: Interregnum mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion
Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. Begun, a new conflict has.
First of all, to avoid getting anyone's hopes up, the New Republic won't be released on the coming update that will be out this Winter. However, we are still working very hard on this new faction, and I am very happy to show you a sneak peak of this beautiful ship.
The Nebula Star Destroyer is one of the most well designed and powerful ships in the New Republic fleet, but the only Nebula model I had did not do this wonderful ship justice. Dolynick, a modder you may know if you play Star Ruler, has decided to help out with this problem and is improving the Nebula, and his work so far is truly extraordinary. The base model is by Jeroenimo.
I realize it is frustrating to have to wait for the New Republic this long, but we want to make sure that it is of the same quality that you have come to expect from Interregnum. And that includes a lot of slow modeling and texturing work to get you ships that look like this. :-)

Take as long as you need we can wait, it's important to have the New Republic as functional as possible when they make it into their first beta release. Also, we want them to not only play properly but also look and have all the bells and whistles so again no rush.

Very very nice. One of the many aspects of this mod that I have always loved is the detail in much of the visuals and how you guys only want to release things when they are ready.
I just made noises so guttural, my neighbors called the cops because they thought I was breeding wild boars in my house.
