FTL: Multiverse is a massive overhaul mod for FTL: Faster Than Light.
Traverse an expansive multiverse as a renegade with new ships, unique weaponry and a diverse crew.
Decades after the confrontation at The Last Stand, the war between the Federation and the Rebellion has escalated into a massive interdimensional conflict. Enabled by the Multiverse Drive, they take their fight across the countless branches of reality that make up the Multiverse. . .
Multiverse adds a plethora of new crew types, all with their own quirks and special abilities. Some of these species include the oxygen-providing and crew-buffing Orchids, the explosive but quickly suffocating Shells, and the electrically charged Leeches, which sap power from enemy systems. Many of these crew types also have sub-races, which build on crew specialities and can fulfil certain niches in your strategy.
Over 200 ships are available to pilot through the multiverse, each with their own unlock conditions. Every faction has their own signature cruiser, all with A, B and C variants, and encourage different playstyles with unique crew, systems, and equipment.
Against you are over 800 new enemy ships, all with fresh hulls and unique challenges. It's up to you to battle, negotiate or try something else with them.
Added are over 100 new weapons to play with, ranging from simple lasers to experimental faction tech. There are new types of weapons, such as the system-destroying Particle weapons, the hull-damaging and ion-inflicting Energy weapons, and the high damage Pinpoint weapons, which never miss.
With those weapons are dozens of new drones, many of which have toggleable states to suit your situation and strategies. Boarding drones can also function as anti-personnel drones, and Amp drones have configurable damage and power.
Hundreds of new in-depth events have been added across every sector to create a huge, story-rich multiverse. Find yourself in thousands of different situations and dilemmas, all with extensive lore and worldbuilding to tie it all together. Deep questlines can be found throughout the universe, giving great rewards, new ships - and secret endings.
FTL: Multiverse is still being updated with content. Keep an eye out for new updates.
The most comprehensive place for Multiverse is the Subset Forums page. For the quickest access to content or important announcements, please go there. If you find any bugs, report them at that page, not ModDB, for the quickest response.
Join the Multiverse Discord to find regular updates on mod progress, report bugs and have a chat with the community.
Want more Multiverse? Consider checking out our Addon Forums for extra, unofficial content made by members of the community. These range from simple UI changes to adding entirely new factions.
If you happen to follow Multiverse here you might notice there are occasional jumps between releases. Why? Well, ModDB is NOT our main upload site. New versions are always uploaded on time to our discord server and the Subset forums page, and after that they are eventually uploaded to ModDB and Nexus mods.
You'll also notice changelogs and the like are not often provided for update posts. This is because all of the important information about Multiverse is also uploaded to the Subset Forums or the discord as well.

Any plane for a light version in future?one that will run smoothly in 6 gb ddr3 ram?maybe you can remove some content.
We don't have any plans for a lighter version at the moment. Right now we're focusing on content for new updates. The best option for you would be to try older versions of Multiverse until you find something playable, though we get that this isn't ideal. You can find an archive of older MV downloads on our discord: Discord.gg
Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I can't even get close to winning with this mod. I've had runs where I've upgraded virtually everything but it doesn't seem to matter when they hack your rooms and CC your crew for an eternity.
I don't have any trouble winning in vanilla ADV on normal. But with this mod I get stomped 10 seconds into the first flagship phase lol.
For anyone else wondering; cloaking, the answer is cloaking. Nullifies at least half of the difficulty.
The mod adds a lot of fun and interesting variety, but its event writing and organization has some key flaws in need of attention.
In short, it's in dire need of a curation pass. It's one thing for different writers to have different styles, but too many cooks in the kitchen has led to a particularly distasteful scenario: An event in which a ship reminds you about the importance of mental health and to not let suicidal tendencies go untreated... Followed by an event in which Slugs are managing a queue of suicidal ships and crashing them into a moon, with one of its ending options being telling the queueing people to consider not killing themselves. To which they reply that they hadn't considered that.
The mod at the time you wrote this was only written by one writer.
that was actually all written by the same person
This is awesome. Love all the new content.
if you use epic games to play ftl trying to download this mod will ruin your game and you wont even be able to uninstall and reinstall so be careful
That's great seeing some fresh large modding projects for FTL being released and updated frequently. Cheers !
