To instal this modification just replace old files in the game directory with modified files from "Dominion Moded".

Very big modification for old RTS "Dominion - Storm over Gift 3" which affects balance of all units - their roles, parameters and cost.

Since Dominion is the first game I ever played I very wanted to improve it as much as I can, so I spent a lot of time to find out how to change parameters for units and improve gameplay as much as possible...

Some units was totally rebalanced or even changed their roles, so there is the summary of what was done to improve game balance:

- Most of Human, Scorp and Merc units got longer range of fire for their weapon (Darkens have shortest range now and Mercs have longest).
- 1-lvl infantry with rifles now much stronger and cheaper, so they are very useful in some situations.
- 2-lvl infantry now have self-guided missiles and never miss (can even shoot down hovers), merc ones do less damage than before, but shoot faster.
- 3-lvl robotic infantry now also much stronger and cheaper, and got a better pathfinding (now they are not so slow and stupid like vehicle).
- Commanders have weaker weapon but more HP (so their role is to be commander, not elite infantry).
- Engineers now cheaper (especially merc one).
- All recon cars and scorp tanks now able to carry troops (very useful for engineer transportation when you want to steal some buildings from enemy)! To unload units from recons or tanks - wait until they stop and push "unload" from pop-up menu.
- Tanks got much more health, Darken tanks making only 1 strong shot, Merc tank shoot 3 times like auto-cannon. (also was fixed this wrong position of turret of Darken tank xD)
- Darken artillery tank have greatest splash zone, but shortest range of fire.
- 1-lvl mech-walkers now much stronger as single-target killer, 2-lvl mech-walkers is weaker in 1v1 combat, but have more HP and armor and have bigger splash zone.
- Hover-bombers got much more HP and armor.
- Hover-transport of Humans and Scorps now can't carry infantry, but got better armor and anti-tank rockets (4 short-range rockets for humans and 1 long-range for scorps).
- Merc Widowmaker can't steal vehicle anymore (it is was overpowered) and got meson weapon instead (same as he had in game "G-nome").
- Scorp digger now have "flamethrower" for fun.
- Energy wall beacon have no armor, but need no money for repair!
- Machinegun tower doing shorter pause between bursts.
- Rocket tower now have self-guided missiles same as 2-lvl infantry, but stronger (but splash zone now twice smaller because the old one was too overpowered).
- Stationary teleportators now expencive and have longer building time.
- All buildings have armor to get less damage from bullets.

Things/units i not very like in my modification:
- 3-lvl infantry (hard to make them not too useless and not too overpowered, only Merc one feels right).
- 1-lvl mech of Merc and 2-lvl mech of Darkens and Scorps (most of robots supposed to shoot with laser, but here no sound effect for such laser weapon).
- 3-lvl mech of Darkens which making allies invisible is too overpowered since there is no way to make invisible unit visible again, but no matter which parameters i changed in "unittype.tbl" he still able to shot only his allies no matter which weapon i give to him (i even tried to copy-past all line from another unit for him to make him behave different, but nothing changes). Due to this - Darken tank got no transport slots for troopers even while looking like APC (so fast invisible transport is just uncounterable).
- 4-lvl mech of Humans and Darkens was almost not changed.
- Hovers not very well balanced (had to make them much cheaper because AI spent all money for them and they are still to easy to kill especially while 2-lvl infantry and rocket-towers can kill them now).
- Transport-hovers of Humans and Scorps supposed to shoot a volley of rockets, but looks like this is impossible since all hovers are able to shoot only once per approach (they also can't be both transport and bomber in the same time - if you add a transport sit for troopers - hover turns in to transport and can't shoot). And wanted to turn Darken transport in to rocket-bomber too, but this will make 11-th mission of Darken campign impossible to finish then...
- Maybe Scorps are overpowered and Mercs are weakest faction in the game due to units cost.


Things I not done:
- Better sound effects - wanted to mix old sounds with sounds from modern games, but not found out how to open and edit sound archive.
- Better enemy AI - dunno what I can do there.
- Change the role of Darken invisibilitor to something else since this invisibility is too OP... But no matter what i am trying to change in unittype.tbl file he is able to target only friendly units (even if i give him rockets)...
- Burst fire for hovers - wanted to teach transport hovers to shoot 4 rockets nonstop and escape like air-atack airplanes do, but they are able to shoot only once per approach.
- New tanks - wanted to take a tank and put a machinegun-tower's turret on it to make a machinegun tank...

i love dominion one of my favorites oldschool strategy games its a shame doesnt have the dedicated attention to create more badass mods,one thing i wish this game had was a skirmish mode more like age of empires,dark colony and etc... its just a rebalance mod but still nice to see people know this game exists and are trying to do something about it.

Sadly game have no map editor or anything we could use to change, at least, campaign missions, or tweak the AI... This modification made game slightly harder so it a bit more fun to play, but i did not found anything else i could do (maybe one day someone will port it to some other engine like openRA)
