Looks a bit too much like a traditional firearm, because of the magazine placement. Might be more interesting if for future energy weapons, you would go with a more compact and efficient placement? Something like a side compartment for you to place the fusion cells or whatever kind of energy ammo that the weapon needs.

It's just that using a big fancy magazine like that on an energy rifle seem odd. A bullpup configuration might make more sense as well seeing how they're designed to be more efficient.

Plus, CD Projekt Red did say it was perfectly ok to take the content of their games as long as we credit them, hence the existence of plenty of Skyrim mods using meshes and textures taken from Witchers 2.
Not having to do armors, weapons and creatures would take off a load of work from doing such a mod.
Silly question; will our savegames of 1.9 be compatible with 2.0? As in, can we just continue or do we have to start from scratch once we install 2.0?
If we have to start from scratch, it'd be nice if you could provide a savegame from right after you complete the main quests on the vanilla game.
Any known issues with russian infantry units? I lag/stutter horribly the moment a single soviet squad gets on my screen, but I run the mod just fine with a hundred+ german/american/whatever soldiers onscreen. It's kinda silly to send your men to fight em and not being able to watch the fight.
Also, soviet troops don't have hats/helmets and other equipments like harness and whatnot. Soviet vehicles don't seem to cause any issues so far though.
Still won't work. The game has to connect to some servers for you to even play a singleplayer skirmish battle...

My game crashes on every new character after playing with 'em for a few in-game days, take or give a week. CTDs without any error message, and reloading the save with crash after the same amount of time on the characters.
Game's updated to the last version with steam, and my PC's decent, i7 3.07 ghz, GTX 660 Ti and 6gb DDR3 ram. The ram might be a bit low but I'm not running anything big other than M&BW.
Also, the issue only started after getting 1.0 and its fix, worked well for the previous version... so what might be the problem doc?
Any chance for an "infantry and light arty/vehicles only" mode in the future? I believe Blitzkrieg has something like that.
I suppose it would require a lot of changes, since some of the division are only good because of the tanks they have access to.

I feel like a WW2 mod set on the pacific front would be more suiting for NTW, with the potential japanese banzai charges, among other things.
It's kinda silly to see europeans charge each other and use their rifle butts, not so much when it's a jap with a bayonet or a katana... at least in my opinion.
the guy with the trenchcoat looks more like a supervisor or an engineer, you should give him a white hard hat instead :3

How do you change your 'character'?
I've heard from some youtubers this mod had a character selection, plus checking the old News on here, I found such a thing was said in 2007, but can't find a guide anywhere on here or the forums as to how to change your character

it's always sad when your army retreats after you take a random bullet to the face...
it's Guard alright, and if you take a look at the name of the other 'guard' units, only one of em is spelt correctly.. which really makes me wonder the quality of this mod
the version on moddb is super old and not being updated
for the latest version, check on the taleworlds forum
I loved SoA2, even if it was a bit unfinished and could need some balancing
