A simple way of solving this is telling us what bytes changed so we can modify the source code of the genie editor library. (Found here: Github.com) That way we'd at least have something to use while we wait for your genie editor to go through the legal issues, which after 6 months of waiting, don't seem to have gotten any better.
We desperately need an expanding fronts compatible genie editor. Hopefully you plan on releasing your editor with the next update, or even better, before the next update. This game is just not the same without the ability to modify things.
I'm all for having this! (That's why I modded it in!) Personally I don't see that much of an issue with hero units. In most RTS games Heroes can be gunned down by tons of basic units and I'm sure SWGB is no exception.
You need to convince the Expanding Fronts team that it's a feature you want, it's 100% doable and I'd be more than happy to provide them with the mechanics for it too.
Yes I did. It's not public though. It's also outdated, which is why I have been waiting for the expanding fronts update to come out. I don't want to make my mod to just have it be outdated 3 days later, though I probably could have finished it several times over in the time I've been waiting for the Expanding Fronts update...
I made a building called the "Hero Request Center" which is exactly what was described in the original comment. Only one of each hero can be built. But I also included hero ships that share the same variable as their land counterpart.

I've done this, it's fun. I asked the expanding fronts team if they would do this. And they said they won't because heroes aren't balanced between factions.

Quick question, does expanding fronts have music without the CD (for steam or GOG versions of the game) yet?
The droid gunship needs a nerf or counter, they literally destroy AA guns in 1 attack.
I've noticed a problem with the Venator's SPHA-T ability, it seems to randomly become disabled. You can press the ability button but you can't target anything at all. What I think is happening is when a single Venator is destroyed in battle all Venators lose the ability to target an enemy with the SPHA-T. I'm running version 1.1.5 without the patch. I really hope it is fixed in the future.
Quick question, how did you modify ParticleFX? I am trying to do my first mod with this game and I can't seem to get it to work.

Double check your republic commando graphics, there is a small pink dot that shows up on some frames (probably leftover from the transparency color), it's barely noticeable but it is a simple fix. I just wanted you to know because it could be easily overlooked. Great mod BTW.
Republic Commando Sniper has it too. All commando graphics (dying, idling, walking, and maybe firing) have it at the 315 degree mark.
The K-Wing is missing the bottom wings at some angles.
You guys are pushing this game to new limits. I wonder what the future of SWGB has in store.
