Once you become the 'king' of your own faction by asking your king to let you control your own territory, what happens then? I'm very curious. I never finished it myself before I gave up on the process.

I joined the Byzantine Empire (Purple Team) and conquered a couple of castles and towns. I loved the idea of having my own kingdom (Faction) in this historical mod and I am trying to get that. I got promoted twice and I got the Strategios rank with 1200-1300 renown. But I cannot ask my king (Byzantine Emperor) to become the lord of my own region. (It won't give me the option to despite at this stage) Am I wasting my time? Does it even allow me to do it with the purple team or does it have to be the Christian or Muslim factions?? I even cheated to make the process faster but I STILL didn't get promotions or the option to ask Emperor for own land. I'm so confused and frustrated I just gave up.

What actually does happen when you have your own kingdom? I've been wondering... I know how much the mod developers want to make this historically accurate as possible but is it historically accurate when two different armies that go to fight each other look EXACTLY the same? I asked in these forums if they were going to put Custom Troop Trees for Player faction and the developer said no. So when you do get your own kingdom, do you get your own custom troop tree for troops or is your troops and the troops of your vassals basically using the troop tree from the parent faction you came from? Do you get own flags?

I put a lot of hours into this mod and I am wondering what happens, particularly, when you (FINALLY) have your own kingdom.

Oh God please allow players the ability to create own faction and customize own troops with your own culture.

If not, (Because it wouldn't be historically accurate) then can you do what the Sands of Time mod did in Warband and allow players their own faction at some point in game. (I forgot exactly what the Sands of Time mod did but it allowed players to start and be the Grandmaster of the Knights Teutonic during game, which essentially gave you your own faction)

Is this mod in English? Also, can I set player culture and have custom troop trees when I start own kingdom? That means my companion appointed lords would recruit only custom troops.

Please add custom troop trees so when you made your own kingdom, you can customize your troops. Thank you.

Hello again, months ago, I asked why custom troops do not appear in cities that you've conquered as your own kingdom. Is this problem fixed now with this update?

Is there any historical mods besides 1257 AD Enhanced Edition that allow the player to create own faction with CUSTOM troops or troop trees?

Is it possible to add Custom Troop Trees mod to this mod? I want the guards in the town I captured to change to the player culture instead of remaining their original culture.

I set it to player culture, my towns and villages I can recruit player culture troops, but the town guards are from the original culture. It bothers me.

Otherwise, I love this mod.

Thank you for responding. I really like this mod and, recently I've been playing it regularly. It is almost perfect for me.

So, how much time do I have to wait for it to update?

I've been playing on and off on my current save, using the 'wait here for some time' option to fast forward. It's still the same. My companions turned to lords (I have seven, one I made Marshall) have been going out and beating and capturing castles all by themselves. They even captured a town called Homs. I go over to Homs that my AI companion lords captured and when I 'take a walk around the streets' the streets are guarded by Ayyubid troops. The castle hall has two Teutonic Sergeants at the door.

I noticed other factions do not have this problem. The city of Antioch was captured by the Sultanate of Rum. I went over there and 'disguised myself' to sneak into town. When I 'take a walk around the streets' the guards in Antioch were all replaced by Seljuk Infantry and Footman. The religious leader was an archbishop though, guarded by a Seljuk footman. This change was immediate since I just came to Antioch as soon as I heard the message pop-up. But so far, the Teutonic (My) faction towns still remained the same with no changes. Still Ayyubid in the town streets.

Anyway, thank you for such a wonderful mod. You did a great job.

I have a question. When you conquer a city you create your own kingdom and your troops would use the barbarian troop trees. The castle hall guards are 'barbarians' but the street guards are from the faction that was conquered. I see that when I 'take a walk around the streets.' Is there any way to turn them to 'barbarians' too?

I waited three in-game days, I placed only 'barbarians' in the town garrison. I even made my companion a minister and hired a chancellor to change the culture to "Teutonic Knights" (I assume this means 'barbarian'}. It seems to work as many in-game days later companions turned to lords would hire only 'barbarian' troops. But the street guards are different culture. How do I change the town guard culture to 'barbarian?'

This is a great mod, by the way. I enjoy playing historical mods like this, especially if it allows player faction and own troops.

This mod is great. But it has one problem. The town guards are not Teutonic despite my culture set to Teutonic Knights. The castle guards are Teutonic Sergeants though...

I captured Damascus as an independent and created the Teutonic Knights. I immediately appointed companion minister and hired a chancellor to change culture to Teutonic Knights. I waited more than three in-game days. Companions turned into lords have Teutonic Gear and Teutonic troops. I can recruit Teutonic Knights from Damascus. But when I 'take a walk around the streets' there are Ayyubid Footman and Infantry guarding the streets. The whole garrison of Damascus are all Teutonic troops.

I also start to notice that my caravans (marked white) go around with the usual caravan guard but they have Ayyubid footman and infantry.

Castles that I conquered have no problem as when I 'take a walk around the courtyard' there are Teutonic troops guarding the walls. The problem is only on the Cities. How can I fix this problem?

This mod is great. I became the ruler and I was able to customize my soldier’s armor and weapons. But in cities that I capture, the soldiers that stand in the city streets are from the enemy faction. I can talk to them and they’ll say stuff like “all quiet here” like they’re in my team. But in my cities’ castle, the soldiers standing in there is the high-tier soldier of the CUSTOM faction, my faction. I already customized my troops through the minister and set my culture to CUSTOM in the camp menu; I waited three in-game days and so far in cities I can only recruit city troops from the CUSTOM faction but when in the city I “take a walk around the streets” I visually see the guards in the streets are from the faction I just took the city from, not my faction. It’s been way more than one in-game week now. It’s different for castles though.
All the castles I conquered which I recruit CUSTOM cavalry units from, when I walk around the courtyard, I visually see my CUSTOM troops standing on the walls. Why only in cities am I seeing different faction units standing guard outside?

Just like castles, when I conquer a city and garrison it with CUSTOM troops, shouldn’t I see troops from only the CUSTOM faction outside then?
