Description

AudioPack for ZDoom and GZDoom Now you can use a variety of software synthesizers (FluidSynth, GUS, TiMidity++, WildMIDI) for playback, which make using custom MIDI instruments possible. They can be selected through the 'MIDI Device' entry of the sound options menu.

If you want the Fluidsynth, Gravis Ultrasound and Timidity++ sound modules to work for the latest release of GZDoom then follow the steps below.

First, go into your GZDoom Configuration File and change the following patchsets and midi_config texts to what I've posted below.

fluid_patchset=snd_fluidsynth\fluidsynth.sf2

midi-config+snd-gusLtimidity.cfg

timidity-config+snd-timidityLtimidity.cfg

The final step is to go into your soundfonts folder and delete the gzdoom.sf2 soundfont from the folder as it is broken and doesn't work with the sound patches.

Replace the following below for the GUS and Timidity patch texts as the comment section would not let me paste it properly.

Replace - with _
Replace + with =
Replace L with \
