Indie Games all da way! However Skyrim sure is a game!
Magic of course and some amazing modding :)
lmao, testing games before you buy weird... time on torrent sites, time finding a game that doesnt suck.
a game that is good and worth my non-money, priceless.
Unless its a Ubisoft game, gotta wait a while for those games even after release. Anno 2070, how I want test play thou.
Magic! *snort**snort*
The Magic of Sweden?......
No option for both Indie and AAA games? I bought both, but I bought a bit more AAA titles.
Same here. Although, now that I've listed the games I bought it would seem I actually bought more indie than AAA...
Anyway, Games I bought this year:
Garry's Mod(10$)
Terraria(5$ On sale)
Portal 2(30$ On sale)
Half Life Platinum Pack(11$ Boxed copy)
Half-Life 2: Episode 2(8$)
Potato Sack(13 Indie games for 42$)
Jedi Knight Collection(5 Games for 20$)
I won Arkham City and Half-Life 2 in contests, and I traded a TF2 hat for Half-Life 2: Episode 2. I also got Portal 1 for free in a Valve promotion thing. Oh, and Alien Breed 2 for free during the Steam Summer sale/contest thingy.
And I also bought Minecraft(22$) for a friend in exchange for the Sanctum Complete Pack, and the Magicka Complete Pack.
So in all, I've spent 148$, and got 37 games. That's over 500$ worth of games, lol.
So, I'd say a mixture of AAA, indie, and "Magic".(Sales an contests - NOT piracy)
Mostly indie though, especially if you count Valve as indie(Which I do).
Thanks for sparing us the details.
Same here. Bought a few nice ones in the Steam Summer Sale, got Skyrim, but everything else was Humble Humble Humble!
Lol, I seem to talk a lot while I'm tired 0.0
I think if there was an option for both it'd ruin the purpose of the poll.
A bit of magic and some modding or so...
Wouldn’t say I bought more AAA than indie... just that AAA cost more so defiantly a money sink :P
$20 for Minecraft, $60 for Battlefield 3. My vote's with AAA
I dunno if I would count minecraft as AAA, I'd say they were indie.
I think he means he paid 3 times as much for AAA games.
Tat would be correct.
Nothin' to spare on new games, so playing current games I own, takin' a crack at beating some oldies. As well as looking for any new mods.
I play mostly older games :P
That's pretty much mostly how it is - I'm just one of those people that wait for games to lower in price before making a purchase. Of course, there are exceptions.
MAGIC :O
Skyrim, minecraft, bf3, mw3, 2 humble indie bundle packs, and the steam autumn sale that is live right now;
all that^
I haven't bought a single AAA game for a while, and by indie, I have ARMA 2,NS2, overgrowth etc
Yea, I'm a wizard lol
Magic FTW!
Indie games! Gimme Gimme! There where great releases this year like Project Zomboid. Although Battlefield 3 and Skyrim was beast.
I've spent too much money on games that I could easily but a new laptop to play games on higher settings.
Most of them were Indie games, obviously.
I'm not a mindless shooter fan and my laptop can't handle Skyrim on even medium settings. So, I didn't spend money on some stupid games and Skyrim.
Indie games mostly, AAA titles somehow magically appear in my PC ;)
Modding...
Why play the game when you can "play with the game"
I must have bought some games but dont know which. I know I bought DNF but havn't played it yet. I don't play so much anymore.
No money spent. Too much hyped crap around and dumbed down sequels not worth your money (unless you have brain-cancer, which some down-voting idiots seem to have)
Your probably getting down voted because your claiming people with a difference of opinion have 'brain cancer'.
wait, where is the option for MMO's or maybe Pc/console games? Why only indie games :(
i spent like 200$ on a MMO game lol
The question however is: was the MMO indie or 'AAA'? I bet it wasn't indie.
I say this year i probley spent very litle compared to previous years. Mostly as i have a car now (costs so much here in UK :s) and got no time to play games :S.
No time to provide adequate answer back to source SDK.
does playing playing all the games in a friends house count as magic?
I've bought so many indie games that I surpassed the 2 "AAA" titles I bought this year.
Still saving all of my game-funds for the Steam Winter Sale.
Portal 2 and Skyrim are about all I bought this year.
I use magic =)
BC2: Vietnam, Portal 2, M&B Warband, Stalker: Radioactive edition and BF3.
I guess those are all AAA titles, or is Warband a real indie game?
Indie & mods gimmy gimmy!
(buried)
Magic *snort snort*
i got my self some nice indie games during the steam sale.
Frozen Synapse, terraria, VVVVVV and limbo. gud games :)
Pfhahah "magic".
I see what you did there.
Hey, my "magic" was perfectly legal... contests and the like are legal
True dat.
NO ******* MAGIC HERE!
I PAY for my games.
