Kad Venku is a Coding GOD.
Somehow, Kad Venku has again answered the challenge about launching fighters from hangars.
We now have the ability to launch fighters from hangars at will.
Ships can launch fighters by pressing SHIFT+Q (able to reassign this in game options to different hot key), allowing entire squadrons to launch from hangars of ships. If a ship has multiple squadrons, each time SHIFT+Q is pressed the next squadron will spawn all at once. Repeatedly pressing SHIFT+Q will continue to launch as many fighter squadrons (the entire squadron) as long as there are reserves left.
So, the first Launch will always be Fighters/interceptors, second launch will be bombers, 3rd launch will be anything special such as a hero unit or shuttles.
So for a ship like the Thurse Quasar, that has 4 launches of fighters, allowing SHIFT+Q to be pressed 4 times. With each press, the entire squadron will launch at once.
You can now safely carry your precious fighters past all those enemy AA frigates and unleash havoc upon capital ships when you are ready.

you guys seriously need to make a game company, then we wouldnt have to deal with massive corporation like EA, well at least the ******** in EA cause lets face it not all of them think about money just the higher ups
All hail our lord and saviour Kad Venku! Is it possible to garrison fighters in ships like bunkers?
Not with the current version.
I had a version developed where you could call your fighters back, but we dropped this for gameplay reasons:
This version used up two ability slots, so all special abilities would have been gone for good in exchange for hangar control.
So now you have decent control over the hangar and one additional ability which you can use at your desire, not counting auto-activated passive and active abilities, which can be added as well.
Honestly wouldn't mind only hangar controls on a select few of the carriers. I usually leave them way behind the battle anyway.
Has been discussed as well. We ultimately decided to give the ability to all ships. We only have very few dedicated carriers, but a load of ships with big hangars. Then the question would have been where to draw the line. This way, we have a consistent feature across all ships.

Alright, I'm going to take you guys WAAAAAAAAY Back now. This whole script reminded me of when Ages of Star Wars was infancy. we had this scripter that went by the name of PAWS. I don't remember the absolute specifics, but he managed to enable real time base building into the game. structures would have reserves, but no spawns, and units were "upgrades" Which allowed the building to spawn one unit.

If he really is a God you speak of, he shall divide SHIFT-Q into three keyboard commands for fighters, bombers and special units allowing for even more control.

Kad is the man responsible for solving every LUA scripting challenge we have presented him. He has even solved issues that other notable coders have not been able to solve.
He is an amazing talent, and is developing ideas that are even more impressive than what we have already announced to our fans.
Simply put: Kad is awesome, and we are happy to have him with us.
