Ok as some of you may've seen in the relicnewsforum already a guy named "Hellboy" posted a footage of teh Emperor Titan some Time ago but unfortunately was unable to share his work.
Thus i've just tried recreating this Titan somewhat on my own so we could still one day possibly meet this unit in-game ^^.
As you can see i "roughly" based my model upon Hellboys one but also used some recycled and revamped Parts of the Warlord Titan(Save the bits and bites! Recycle your 3D Models!). Somehow these old parts gave this model some "new" life indeed as saving me lots of time doing it from scratch again ^^.
Besides of that is the stuff you see actually the latest showcase as i wasn't able to do more on it. Suprisingly the polycount of the entire Unit is 10.248 which is hard at the borderline of the capabilites of the DoW Engine. Even though, if necessary, i could still spare out some little polys here and there.
Besides of course leave an opinion and your suggestions.

*minutes later after passing out* Well... I am very, VERY not sure how this is going in game, but... I'll try. :)
Well who says i must move overall? Once fielded i would just stay in your base and fire over huge distances the crap outta your enemy xD. Since Titans are that huge they also have a huge field of view and a direct line of sight.
But you want to be able to see massive awesomeness moving. Yes it would lag the game but still it should be able to move for those who want to to move.

I mumbled a while back where you could have this as a superstructure that you build over time/upgrade from a damaged unit.
in the end all sensors and weapons are online. Move?

superweapons of two weapons.
Basically a win unit that means you can loose a building that produces units. eat that "annihilate". :P
using the saller weapns like defensive weapons like the orks have with their buildings. :)

It would be handy if you could do that build list trick on biulders to building multiple ties, then you could have communication devices come online to call in support. :P
IE drop in vehicles through drop ships.... All ingame and the rest wont be too far away.
Call in valkyries to build guard?
Call in thunderhawks to build marines?
Fleet module to build aircraft?
So easy. :)
how to call in other titans, 24 hours work could give us a nice sgm/ebp change to give a nice teleportation effect. :) or build titan build sites like now. even though it needs work, :)
Are those battlemetns, if so, could it be a possibility to garrison guardsman and have them shooting from said battlements or not?:)

Make it a superstructure that you build over time/upgrade from a damaged unit.
If this was to be ingame....I'm pretty sure you'd only see it's foot taking over half the map.

Very nice model but damn man you can't go from Warhound to Emperor...it's beyond OVERKILL!!!
i think using this as a superweapon/structure over a unit may be best (but im no modder so what do i know?) I do love the sound of upgrading it from a wreck, like in Winter Assault.
As a side note, what would the other factions ultra unit be? (As the Emperor Titan surely is an ultra unit)
True, it will make many other races tiny in comparison.
Cosmo textures would be best looking at sisters buildings as it seems to have the archs you might be looking for and they are already wtp.. as with the roof textures the shrine to the emperor is already wtp ready. YEs I have been spending cognitive cycles on thinking about textures for ya man. :) Not texturing it. :P
If we could gain access to use the thunder transporter from guard mod, i am sure I could mod it up to be a building to drop in landraiders.
or if we get authority to use the one from daemon hunters, it wouldn't take long to turn it into a landing zone with a holo landraider rotation in the middle of the landing zone. :P
Also the Leman russ drop ship is almost complete. :)

titan buildings might take a bit long as I try and figure out how to get the scaffolding right. :)
Hell im liking this rotating holo effect, I think the thunderhawk and valkyrie could have holo basic trooper rotating in its landing zone, so you know what it is for. :P
with this type of idea, it could be expanded to every races super titan. :)

ah yes I was thinking and god it hurt....
-Remember you can add the repeated spire roofs as fx object, cutting down poly count.
-Like wise with the blocks around the castle of the titan being fx as it is just the same thing repeated.
-Also the towers around the outside of the titan could easily be fx as well as they don't move. just the guns. :)
-Feet or feet steps could easily be attached Fx using a stretch in fx tool to make two different looks out of the one mesh.
-towers on the caste could be fx as they are repeated twice. and would give you more space.

Thoughts?
A custom texture tailoring for the new meshes will be necessary anyway, eventhough using the vanilla textures from present buildings would make it look more "legit" if you know what i mean lawl xD.
