Ultimate Apocalypse is a mod for Dawn of War Soulstorm, which aims to create the most diverse possible unit and faction selection within the confines of the original DOW engine. We strive to create the most engaging and balanced Warhammer 40,000 game that we can, without sacrificing the fun factor. From hordes of Orks to the towering Titans, you can always find a new way to play UA. We invite all of you to join us on our Discord server to keep up with the development of the mod!
Scratch this off our todo list! Worked on ever since June, the idea of fog removal so you can finally zoom out to the camera's full potential; version 1.73 will be introducing hundreds of revamped vanilla maps on top of that, custom made maps.
So keep an eye out for it! Either before or after the 1.73 release.
Compatible with standard vanilla maps as well, just in case you do like the fog for close up vanilla like play style.
Also one more thing: If you find any maps worthy for the UA mod to be looked at and "fixed up" so that there is no more fog, feel free to share, and WITH PERMISSION OF THE CREATOR, we might include this within the map pack.
Enjoy!
well that's good, no more annoying fog
Jesus Christ...this is just too great!
you mean no more fog when we zoom to far??,visiblity is the same now to far or to close??
Yes it is, use it wisely!
Now if there were icons that hover above units it would be almost like a pseudo Supreme Commender.
great!! good too hear this!
YAY!
nice!

very detailed map kind of tight for building space but the buildings in the center are very fun to fight amongst.

The final world map is pretty interesting but doesnt seem to work with UA. Would be a reason to contact the mappers if theyd be interested in authorizing a mod compatible release.
Ill post some other interesting maps later i just got a fresh install so cant find the old maps i played
Thanks for your input! :)

Another map thats actually already NoFog! The only issue is no cover placement in areas I assumed the mapper might have put them (just ruins and trees). I recommend people simply download this map by itself, it works just fine for UA gameplay as it is.
The only problem with that map I find, while fecking gorgeous and brilliant, the lag in it is utmost computer killing.
But I'll give it another try. Jaguar Lord deserves every retrospect.
This is amazing! I can guess that this was NOT easy to bring to fruition?:P Out of curiosity, how did you do it?
Well months and months of work pays off when finished. Doing up 100+ maps + fixing the water so weapons can fire + many things more repeatedly over and over and over was a boring process with no passion in doing such a thing...
But the the crack of my fingers, coffee and time on my side, it finally got accomplished.
So... the fog of war has lifted.:P
Awesome!
