Tiberian Apocalypse is a Partial Conversion for Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars with the goal to create a true Tiberian Sun sequel. GDI, Nod and the Scrin are getting a complete overhaul.
aren't gauss cannons similar to railguns except they use mechanical power and heat instead of electromagnets? and besides gauss cannons would melt in a few shots whereas railguns only need a replacement of magnetic rails then it's good to fire again.
I checked on this mod this morning before school... i check it again and find yet another update. helge, are you on ur summer vacation or are you part jesus? or both...?
oh, and one more question. how do the component towers work? do you place the base then add the tower depending on what you want there?
Anti-infantry and anti-tank are produced as upgrades of the component tower, while the advanced base defense and anti-air are deployed as separate structures, right?
I can think of a way to make gates and walls work with each other in TW, but they're really not necessary anyways, and I can't exactly fathom how complex the coding behind them would be.
These are great, I had almost forgotten about C&C, I haven't played it in so long. Stuff like this reminds me why I've stuck with it.
actually, I think the difference is in the magnet design. Whereas a railgun actually has a pair of rails with magnets on them, a gauss cannon uses coils. An electric current is passed through each coil consecutively, creating a moving magnetic field that pulls the slug up the barrel.
Or that is just another kind of railgun. Would have to look it up
The gauss addon (middle) now has a new design.

Eh...no. Gauss Guns are a tube with a bunch of solenoids around it. Railguns are 2 big hohnking metal bars.
:o Nice!
What about anti-air? GDI is getting busted in the current version by NOD and Scrin air.
The current version has a non-functional AA batter and I said multiple what the current version is.
I know, I was just asking whether or not you are creating a new AA defence.
Yes.
can the component towers connect to a wall like in TS and also is it possible to put gates in to C&C 3 as i have not seen a mod with them yet
No, I don't want that.
Gates are not possible, or overcomplicated, in TW.
Better and better.
Hmmm, this looks more suitable for the Zocom faction because of the house color.
the houes color is yellow...
That's just really fricking sweet looking stuff. Keep doing what you doing, Helge, you're my C&C Hero.
Wow, I was getting interested on this one.

You place the component towers for Vulcan and Gauss addons, and then buy either of them via upgrade, like the turbines on powerplants.
The Firestorm cannon (in front) is a separate structure.
You still never fail to impress us Helge!
CANT WAIT for new version >.<
great job
guess you used some code from the power plant and used the tutorial on Cnc3.net or did you work it out yourself?
once again great work, you continue to impress me
I did code the component tower a while before the tutorial on CnC3.net was published. I used a modified Railgun upgrade code for it.
Just making sure I get this system right...

The advanced defense is a separate structure, yes. The AA might be part of the same tower as the vulcan and gauss addon tho, but I'm not decided yet.

i agree its great and i understand i was just wondering, although i cant wait trill the next releace
Do you have a time for us? and is there going to be a beta for us to try it out and work out the kinks?
I'm working on the Nod infantry, and a new GDI Carryall, at the moment. I might bring out a new release once that's done.

No. A Railgun is simply two conducting rails. Your description of a coilgun is accurate however.
