Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty. If you own the Steam version of EaW, you will have to complete extra steps to run the mod after installation. Please see the manual for these steps.
A basic overview on the release of 1.2 and the direction we're heading in 1.3

On Some 1.2 Issues...
It’s been just over two weeks since the release of 1.2, and there are 2 main, glaring issues:
1. The Hunt of Zsinj campaign lacks many of the amalgamated Hapan/New Republic/Imperial Remnant faction units. This is a leftover result of something we’d thought we’d fixed. However, it’s completely fixed in 1.3 so don’t worry about that. We intend to do some overhauling of this GC in the future based on some suggestions we received on the forums.
2. Art of War has a freezing issue, where about 20-30 weeks in, many people have reported losing control of their units on the galactic map (they don’t follow issued commands, all you can do is start build orders). We are about 95% sure at this point that it is the result of lag, which comes from having 4 active AI-controlled factions on 109 planets, which is simply too much for EaW to handle. We have a few options for fixing this, and we’ll get back to those a bit later.
There are some other issues that we have elves working on behind the scenes, but those are the biggest. However, at least 90% of the issues that get brought to us are from people who either haven’t read the readme, or people who haven’t read it closely enough. If you have a question about installation or something that seems obvious enough that somebody else would have had it , then somebody else probably has had it. So, before you ask us anything take a minute to check the Readme, the FaQ section on our site, or the Tech Support section of our forums. This way the team can focus on actually making the mod.
Vision of the Future...
1.2 removed a lot of the more unsavoury models from the mod, however there are still several left that we intend to redo for the aptly-named 1.3. These include the Au’riette carrier (the redone version of which is featured in this update),the Ascendancy Star Destroyer, Golans, and a few other things. We’re also adding a new artillery unit for the Empire of the Hand, and one or two new space units for them. There are some more significant changes and additions we intend to make, which will be addressed later.
There have been people who are confused by the random (Flak) explosions, and are concerned that it's causing lag. This is a purely aesthetic thing that shouldn't really hinder performance, but for those that are concerned, we will be releasing an optional patch that removes it at some point in the future.
Getting back to Art of War, there will be some significant changes for 1.3. The best way to fix this problem is, unfortunately, the removal of the AI for the Hapans and the Warlords, which is what we intend to do for 1.3 until and unless we can adjust the AI to a point where it can handle everything. To make up for this, we’re introducing two new minor-faction-centric GCs; Empires at War and Into the Cluster. There will be another update about these two when we have more progress on them.
The Website and Forums...
Many of you will have noticed the SW Rebellion network was down for about a week. There were some server issues, but they've been cleared up. During this time, Beesden has been working on a new site, which is up now. The forum theme will be getting reworked as well, so if you notice any changes, don't panic.
That's all for now,
