This is a specifically modified version of the mod to allow some level of compatibility with the GoG and retail disk copies of Empire at War.
The Steam version of Empire at War has had several stability patches which we have taken advantage of during mod development,
so we recommend getting the Steam version (otherwise we basically would have had to stop at 2.2.5 anyways)

This version, as a result, is unable to support the larger maps (Empire's End and Art of War) as they are incapable of saving, let alone loading,
custom VO and map preview images have also been removed to allow for loading saves longer on other maps.
This version is being provided as is. We will not be providing tech support for it, nor installation troubleshooting.
The Steam version is the easiest method for running and installing the mod, as well as being the most stable.
It goes on sale for $5 every few months, so while we understand even that is not possible for everyone,
we have done what we can to support the GoG and Disk versions, anything beyond that is on Petroglyph.
Delete any existing installation before installing. Do not try to place the new version over the old version.

The Steam version of Empire at War has had several stability patches which we have taken advantage of during mod development, so we recommend getting the Steam version (otherwise we basically would have had to stop at 2.2.5 anyways)
This version, as a result of GoG and Disk limitations, is unable to support the larger maps (Empire's End and Art of War) as they are incapable of saving, let alone loading, custom VO and map preview images have also been removed to allow for loading saves longer on other maps. We have done all we can to try to make a version of the current Imperial Civil War setup that can support GoG and Disk in some way, the bottom line is that those versions don't have the official patches and until/unless they get them, they will remain more limited and not great for mods going forward. There is no say we have in this, the alternative would have just been stopping the mod at 2.2.5.

So far, I only need the .bat file I'm supposed to have in my swfoc.exe (which is only a game launcher for me by the way, as I have the Gold edition retail disk).
But there is none of that in all the files of the game.
I can run your launcher without problem, but it only plays vanilla.
Do you any .bat file creator to suggest, all "advices" I've found are not working either (and Notepad/++ isn't useful at all, this isn't for coding).
Thanks for your help.
Have you found a solution to this?
I had, thanks. Just checked, Imperial_Civil_War233 runs correctly.
How did you solve it? im also having the same problem...
Thought you were the developer.
I have a different mod launcher (EaWModLauncher v1.1.0), and had to create a command file to launch the game first.
hehee sorry about that, ill try what you did. Thanks!
what .bat file do u mean? i cant found that file tho
does this version have fleet sandbox
when i load the game why is it on vanilla
The game sometimes crashes during land battles. And It gets really annoying after a while. Any of you knows a solution for this?
The ship typs are missing
May I ask if you have a torrent version of this mod? It would certainly help for those who would occasionally move places, or rather when the network is weak enough that requires Daily split progress instead of a Straightforward process of downloading the mod in one go. I am interested in downloading and installing this mod thanks to Eckartsladder's Videos. Thanks either way! :)
I have the GOG version of this game. it works well in land and space combat, but when it comes to galactic conquest i cant manufacture capital ships or frigates. just a tie fighter. is there something im suppose to do?
The mod has terrible balance. You can't farm much money bc of limitations and you can't conquenr more planets bc of unbalanced space ships and land battles in particular with this endless reinforsments that the AI has.
I played so many times for the Empire on a large scale map and I could stand more than 40 turns bc I just didn't have enough money not even for conquering something, but just for maintaing alreary conquered planets from unstoppable attacks. And that was EASY mode.
In comparison with this Mod, Republic at war has much more balanced economics, though still have problems with cheating AI too
Good but not good enough...
good afternoon, do you know how to make the heroes appear again after death ??? help
