The Zone's Call returns the player to the southern reaches of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, to once again, answer the Zone's Call. With all of the southern areas from Clear Sky, ranging from the expansive Marshes to the eerie Red Forest, along with some of the more well known areas from Shadow of Chernobyl, are used to help complete the world of the southern Exclusion Zone.
A quick demonstration of something I've wanted to implement for a while, but didn't exactly know how to go about it until recently.
As the video shows, scopes can now have NV devices installed into them. It will be possible to go to a mechanic, and have them install a Night vision device, or modify the sight with filters to improve visibility, or possibly even more exotic equipment.
Only weapons with builtin scopes such as the FN2000, GP37 or SVD can be upgraded with this technology, regular weapons and scopes cannot. And some rifles might even come with such options already installed.
Interesting. Nice to see this Seta
In complete agreement with above comment, is this a first or has it been done before on STALKER mods?
I know Meltac's Shader mod that has a similar effect, but implemented differently. I haven't seen any other mods for CS/SoC that does something like this, so its probably reasonably safe to say its a 1st for CS at any rate.
EDIT: Damn ModDB system screwing up replies again.
Thanks for the reply, I kind of thought this might be a first, it just seems a really unique idea. To be honest I haven't played Clear Sky for a couple of years, and only played the vanilla game, this is one of the mods that will no doubt mean a re-install is long overdue. Good luck with everything.
