24/03/13. Started learning how to merge different mod's, really interested in creating atmosphere's and effect's. I think most people have a view on how the zone should look and "feel", it's that sort of game, yes the game-play elements are very important, but it was the "atmosphere", the strange desolation of the place that for me was what kept (and still keeps) drawing me back. I can replay the game over and over knowing the story line but just enjoying the graphic improvements people add to it.
It's about the skies, the background noises, the shadows, the wind all adding up to draw you in, I read this back and I'm not sure it makes a lot of sense, but I hope most Stalker players understand the point of this rambling blog.

If anyone passing by can direct me to a link where I can download any standalone levels for ShoC. i.e. The Generators, Swamp-Level, Warbunker etc (or any other stand alone levels/maps) could you please let me know or if you just know where I can get them from. You can pm me, much appreciated.

Thanks for the feedback, having a slight problem loading the shaders, will try and work round it or pm you for advice.
Hi Dave, I never realised just how many mod there are for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series either, just blew me away, obviously there are a lot of buggy attempts but some of them are just super.
I would highly recommend SGM 2.1 the others have extra maps but they are buggy. You can DL it from david.m.e here on moddb :) I also think Way in Pripyat is a good COP mod also from david.m.e's page he has links to lots of mods I think you will like his page. I'm a slow root around take forever totaly lost kind of player as well so I know exactly what you mean about "circles". I still don't know the names of most locations in the maps ahahah.
