The Delta Sector is a modification for FarCry which will meet the highest quality expectations and will use the full capacity of the Cryengine 1. There will be new weapons, new vehicles and new enemies in this mod. You are a member of a special forces team. It's your job to check what's happening in eastern Europe, because many military forces accumulate in one area.

The final version of The Delta Sector modification for FarCry has been released. This mod features three singleplayer missions, a multiplayer mode and has dramatically improved graphics. The multiplayer mode got a completely new gameplay. It's much more action, excitement and fun.
The player is able to fight with 8 different weapons against soldiers, helicopters or aliens. Every single singleplayer mission got it's own completely unique design and environment.

Recently the new Patch 1.1 is avaible too. The Patch for the Delta Sector mod contains some Bugfixes and is improving the multiplayer mode. We added the FFA mode to all existing Delta Sector maps and added 2 completely new FFA/TDM maps. (called TDS_densewoods, CRYPACK_4)

The Assault mode is available in TDS now too. But at the moment there are no maps. So it would be appreciated, if some good modders take the time to create one. The shortcut to run the mod editor and all presets to create your own Delta Sector maps are included and can be found in the 'TheDeltaSector' directory.

Just intalled this mod is this the only mod to make game look better? I would like to see somebody keep working on this game and im hoping modder fixes the problems people are having.
-AI sits in one place
-Objectives are unclear and often skippable, the text disappears too fast.
-Bare arms in snowstorm
-Lack of 'fun' - no vehicles to drive, no complicated bases to wipe out, just endless railroaded terrain full of illogically placed npcs. Why would they be standing there in the middle of the brush?
This is amazing considering it's using that engine, but I agree that the vegetation is way too dense to see who's shooting at you or to sneak around. I end up having to just blindly run through it until I hear gunshots and then spray my AK or SCAR in their general direction. If you take away some of the plants it would be a great game though.

Maybe its been said already, but besides the great looks of the mod, playing it is a different story: Annoying quirks, too much vegetation or snow to see (never know who shoots you) - sunny day and a hell of a snow?, boring "missions" and most importantly, stupid AI who dont shoot you but chooses to move randomly and hide most of the time. Sorry if i'm too critic, but i'd only recommend this mod to those who just want to check the graphic difference from the original, not seeking much of an immersive shooter..

I am on the 2nd level and going down a hill, when this bloody big helicopter chases after me 1st time its happened in the game, and then I run into a group of soldiers down the hill. Keep dying what do I?
