The Delta Sector is a modification for FarCry which will meet the highest quality expectations and will use the full capacity of the Cryengine 1. There will be new weapons, new vehicles and new enemies in this mod. You are a member of a special forces team. It's your job to check what's happening in eastern Europe, because many military forces accumulate in one area.

The final version of The Delta Sector modification for FarCry has been released. This mod features three singleplayer missions, a multiplayer mode and has dramatically improved graphics. The multiplayer mode got a completely new gameplay. It's much more action, excitement and fun.
The player is able to fight with 8 different weapons against soldiers, helicopters or aliens. Every single singleplayer mission got it's own completely unique design and environment.
Recently the new Patch 1.1 is avaible too. The Patch for the Delta Sector mod contains some Bugfixes and is improving the multiplayer mode. We added the FFA mode to all existing Delta Sector maps and added 2 completely new FFA/TDM maps. (called TDS_densewoods, CRYPACK_4)
The Assault mode is available in TDS now too. But at the moment there are no maps. So it would be appreciated, if some good modders take the time to create one. The shortcut to run the mod editor and all presets to create your own Delta Sector maps are included and can be found in the 'TheDeltaSector' directory.

Um, I don't actually own Far Cry or Crysis, but I've noticed this mod on the ModDB Editor's Choice awards. What you have done is amazing. When I was looking at the video, I thought I was looking at a Crysis mod. Then I found out that this is actually a Far Cry mod. I was shocked. You really know how to push the engine to its limit! Good work!
I just played the mod and the visuals are astonishing. CryEngine 1 always looked very good but this tops it all. It's a pity that this mod is not transporting a storyline through cutscenes or a kind of a narrator. The few lines to read are shown too short. I say keep on the good work and try to make the mod more immersive with telling a story.
the weapons are really good looking! Plz don't change to Crysis!
Not that I want to, but how do you delete this thing? Do I just delete the DeltaSector folder under Mods under FarCry?
Seems like a good mod but it's annoyingly difficult. I had to use console commands to save my own saves (why can't you save anywhere? Being dependent on sparse savepoints on the level is frustrating).
Also, when the AI shoots you using xray vision while you lie completely still in tall grass and kills you in 4 or so hits from full health, while you can hardly see them at all due to their camo and them blending in, it just doesn't feel fun. Am I missing something here? Is my character wearing a GPS locator that all the enemy can see? I don't mind realistic damage values, but I do have a problem with them being able to see you from distances (not to mention close up, even in a thick bush being still they will always find you)much much easier, than you can every possibly see.
Anyways this is just a first impression. I sure hope it gets better later on, as it looks very cool. Congrats on winning art direction, I can definatly see why!
PS: Who exactly are you in the mod and what are you doing? There doesn't appear to be any real reason I'm in some European forest, and the objective text at the bottom goes away too fast for me to read in time, so I just end up following the dots on my blank radar blindly.

This mod will work on the Russian version?
About how long is this mod in terms of hours?
Hey love the mod but a few of us couldnt get a connection at all to play this multiplayer. Regular FarCry was just fine. Anyone help? or how it is supposed to be done? lol Thanks in Advance
