Dawn of the Tiberium Age (DTA) is a stand-alone mod that combines Tiberian Dawn (C&C 95) and Red Alert. While classic mode gets as close to the original game-play and balance as possible, Enhanced mode provides improved game balance and a lot of fun new stuff. DTA features many customization options for Skirmish and multiplayer (where you can play as GDI, Nod, Allies and Soviet on over 200 maps), challenging original singleplayer missions, as well as co-op missions. Since this is a stand-alone mod, you don't require anything but the mod itself to be able to play: the original game is not required.
At the DTA R&D labs, I've lately been busy examining the released source code of Red Alert. While it's an older version of the engine for a different game, its architechture is surprisingly similar to that of Tiberian Sun, which has allowed me to get a much better understanding of the Tiberian Sun engine. The knowledge has then made it much easier for me to enhance our engine. Within the last few weeks, I've managed to implement some QoL improvements and I've also ported over some features from Red Alert that our more modern engine has lacked.
Here is one of the new features. It used to be impossible to make infantry repair vehicles with the Tiberian Sun engine, but with our work, it has become possible. Greet your old friend from Red Alert: The Aftermath, he's going to be delivered back to the Allied arsenal in an update in the near future.
Expect us to reveal more engine enhancements soon. The R&D work continues.

Oh, and if you've also been enjoying the C&C Remasters, or not been enjoying your units' stupidity in them, you might want to check out my QoL improvement mod for Red Alert. Steamcommunity.com
Blessed.
So much more convenient than the repair bay type buildings :)
That's wonderful news..
Does it work on aircraft and nearby ships?
Yes, it works for both of them (assuming no issues pop up in our extended internal testing). If you get a ship close enough to the infantry, of course.
Could you use a bridge for that?
"I'm a mechanical man!"
"Hot-diggity!"
Had to wait 20 years for Mechanics to become a thing on the TS engine.
Worth it.
I keep finding amusing that the source code that was once 'lost' now suddenly has turned up again. I can't wait to see what more creativity people will come up with now :)
Amazing!
Could a more proper bugfix for air transports be possible? CCHyper's hack works and all but it messes with an air infantry transport's landing angle, they don't properly reset their angle like other aircraft do or like how infantry air transports do in vanilla like when they are used in the campaigns. Just curious. :D
