This mod was very promising. I always loved the book series.
Wonder if this will ever be taken up again?

In October 2014 the only modder was busy to keep on.

Still I think it's enjoyable enough for fans to play at it (the main issue it's still the rider-dragon bug)

There was much that was not completed and there are still bugs. I played it extensively. I play Edain Mod now.

Well, maybe the mod will see a Beta 4 some time.

Kooskia Jul 22 2015 replied:

Well... yes, but just try to compare it with the beta2 ^^
The creation of the whole beta3 has been a big effort for the modder

Altairius Sep 15 2015 replied:

Indeed. It must have been a great amount of effort to do this alone.
However I still wish the Creator, or someone with Permission, could continue it.
It was a very promising Mod.

By far an amazing mod. Would like that it worked... After 10 minutes of gameplay I crashed, never being able of opening up the game again. Reinstalled the mod and didn't manage to open the game, crashing right at start.

Help please?

Kooskia Mar 4 2015 replied:

You've placed the folder into the old game one? (i suggest to place it in some other place to not make confusion).

The vanilla game works correctly or it crash too?

This crash-at-start it's a never seen before kind of crashing for this mod.

Dragil Mar 6 2015 replied:

When installed, you have the opportunity of launch the game right away, I did so the first time and not the second. The first time it launched and after 10-15 minutes crashed, besides that time I played I was never ever able to open the game again giving me an error.

The second time, where I didn't open the game with the installation, it opened also the first time but after 15 minutes crashed and was never able to open it again.

Edain Mod and Vanilla works fine without crashes.

Kooskia Mar 7 2015 replied:

There is surely some kind of issue into the installation or in the data you've downloaded: the only crashing issue recorded is probably some unresolved issue related to some specific maps.

You've kept installed Edain Mod while you tried to install and run BattleforA.?
You should try to play after having removed the Edain.

If you already did it, you should.
1) remove everything of battle for alagaesia (including dowloaded folder and checking if there is some left INTO the folder of the game)
2) try to see if vanilla game go fine
3) check to have uninstalled the Edain (after all it's easy to re-install ita)
4) re-download the battle of alagaesia
5) keep care to personally extract the folder into some place you can easily remember (maybe the desktop)
6) keep care to write correctly all the paths for running the mod, according this description (see the comment)

Definitely a great idea, though it would need a lot of improvement. New models and texture improvement would be rather nice and new structures and maps haswell!

Looking forward for new versions, if possible of course!
