Dec 24, 2010 Demo 35 commentsThis is the second beta of the mod, still unfiniched but already fun.
This mods purpose is to recreate Paolini's universe, allowing players to fight for the control of Alagaësia as the Dwarves, the Elves, the Empire, the Varden and their Allies and the Urgals.
The Dwarves:
One of the races who originated in Alagaësia, the Dwarves, or Knurlans in their own tongue, are fiercesome warriors whor rely on a large variety of specialised units from the various clans. They only have a small access to magic and rely mostly on technology.

Their mini heroes the Grimstborithn help improve the warriors from their clan when they reach a sufficently high level.

The Elves:
A race who came a long time age to Alagaësia from across the sea, the Elves once lived all over Alagaësia. The Elves when they arrived on Alagaësia fought a bloody war with theDragon and eventually settled a peace with through a great enchantment which as given them incredible agility as well as an affinity towards magic. They rely mostly on magic and discretion as a means of defence but when they need to fight, they phisionomy makes them unparalleled warriors.

Their mini heroes the Guardians of Du Weldenvarden can fight whith great skill with both swords and bows.
The Empire:
Once a peacefull country know as the Brodding Kingdom, the Empire is ruled by King Galbatorix, a powerful Dragon Rider made mad by the death of his dragon and who wants to rule the whole Alagaësia. The Empire relies both on the numbers of its local inhabitants turned into militias by the rigors of war and on the strength and skill of its trained army.

The Empires greates elite are the Laughing Deads, warriors rendered insensible to pain through magic and who will continue to fight with any amount of not directly lethal wounds .

The Vardens:
The Vardens, from the ancient language for guardian, unite all those who oppose Galbatorix and whant to restore the peace and freedom the Dragon Rider once defended in Alagaësia. Eventhough their own units are good warriors , if they want to defend themselves against their strongest foes they need to call upon their allies from the Wandering Tribes and Surda.
![]()
Their leaders are defend by a unique kind of warriors taken from all the species who have allied themeselves with them. These units, the Nighthawks, form the best close combat units on Alagaësia.

The Urgals:
A violent race who is said to have followed Humans to Alagaësia in search of war, the Urgals are often considered as mindless beasts. They really form a complex society with a strong emphasis on fighting. They rely mostly on the numbers of their rams to turn the tide of battle . However, if they need to use more strength than sheer numbers, they can call upon their Kull warriors to win the day.

I've been helping Ouranos with beta testing, i can't say when the game will be "finished" (i neither know) but i can say that the next beta is almost finished ^^
This looks amazing but I cant't get it to work :(
I have tried all the solutions below and it still doesn't work. Help please Someone-Elda
Ok, as i wrote. You've to check very well the place you put the dowloaded folder (it's whole correct location). Then when you make the copy of the shortcut, check 10times to have wrote the correct positions of the two folders (the main one of the game and the mod's one)
I've wrote: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\lotrbfme2ep1.exe" -mod "C:\Users\Utente\Desktop\battleforalagaesia"
But the first part (the original game folder) maybe is in another folder(it may be in Program Files and not Program Files (x86)) , check that's C and not D.
Also don't let the game to start in automatic mode. You've to take care of click the edited shortcut BEFORE the automatic activation start... or will start the original game.
Thank you very much, I will try this now. What do you mean by automatic mode?
if you put the CD into the pc.. usually should start alone the game, without you clicking on the shortcut. If you are not fast, and you don't click the edited shortcut as soon as you put the CD, the game will start alone the old shortcut and will not use the battleforalagaesia mod folder.
