Tamriel Rebuilt is a community mod project which aims to recreate portions of The Elder Scrolls universe. We are currently developing the province of Hammerfell as a modification for TES IV: Oblivion. Using our own stylistic interpretations along with established TES lore, we intend to flesh out this province and create an engaging gameplay experience. We are approaching this enormous task on a region by region basis, selecting small portions, developing them fully and moving on. This will not only enable us to explore all areas of TES IV modding, but will allow us to take advantage of the broad range of talent available in our community. We have a number of organized departments working on the various aspects of our mod. These include, but are certainly not limited to: Concept Art, Objects of Tamriel (custom assets), Literature, Sound and Music, Exteriors, Interiors, and Quests.
Our first task on the Oblivion engine involves creating the Isle of Stirk. It is a small island located east of Cyrodiil. Its precise location can be seen on the 'West Tamriel Map' that was released shortly before TESA: Redguard. There is almost no existing Elder Scrolls lore concerning Stirk, so we are developing a unique story line consistent with what is known about the Abecean Sea and its relation to both Cyrodiil and Hammerfell.
If you would like join us in modding Hammerfell and the Isle of Stirk, or if you would simply like to know more, visit our forums at www.tamriel-rebuilt.org, or log onto our IRC channel. We'll see you there!

Hey guys. First of all, let me assure you that this mod really is alive. It keeps me quite busy, hence I am not able to update this page very often. The best place to get updates remains our official website, including forums and blog.
Anyways, lets get right down to it. The Hammerfell-Cyrodiil border is nearing completion. All locales have been finalized and now all that remains is testing and fixing quests and adding some of Hammerfell in the background. As you may know Hammerfell uses its own world space so the border will feature 2 forts and a cave to cross into the new world.
Goldmoor has also been going well. Most of the region is completely done, and the rest is progressing well. Currently I am doing review and final fixes on claims 8-1 through 8-5, this includes merging the claims into the main file and synchronizing the look of the region. These claims include many of Goldmoor's unique areas, including an ancient imperial fort overlooking the province; the town of Stonemoor, situated high on a platough; and of course the city of Rihad. Check out the video below for a quick look at what the area has to offer.
Hm, what else? Many new models have been made for Hammerfell, including a whole new dock set and a great set of market tents and stalls. Helkori objects have also been completed, and we have begun work on the generation preset.
I guess this is it for now :) If you like what you see you should register on our forums, it is the only source for real news and progress. We are also still in need of members, and as always everyone is welcome!

This mod looks excellent and so does the upcoming LOTR mod. I can't wait for either of these two! :D
Keep up the good work and I am currently learning how to mod myself! It's so fun..except the hours worth of tutorials you need to read...but that is expected.
Will you guys have new voiced characters, weapons, music, quests, bigger quests like the main one in Oblivion?
Nice... It's good to hear that you are making progress
so you guys are trying to create the entire Tamriel?
