It's the end of the 23rd century, and with it comes a new era of cooperation between long time adversaries the Federation and Klingon Empire. Praxis the moon of Qo'Nos, homeworld of the Klingon people, explodes in an industrial accident. With it's loss Qo'Nos is massively affected and an estimated 50 years of life is estimated for the planet, the heart of the Klingon Empire is dying. Gorkon the then Chancellor and leader of the Klingon Empire, understands that to survive the Empire can no longer stay in a state of cold war with the Federation, and so extends peace offerings to the Federation. But not all are happy with the new found friendship and peace that was given birth at the Khitomer Conference. Both from outside and within, there is dissension, forces unhappy with the shift of power within the quadrant.

Despite the peace between the two governments, decades long conflict and distrust isn't easy to overcome. Boarder skirmishes between Starfleet and Klingon vessels are still common, with the peace uneasy at best. But even with this shaky peace the quadrants have never been so stable. The Romulan Star Empire the biggest voice in the opposition of peace have remain quiet and are biding their time, with no clear or official contact from them since the Khitomer Accords in 2293.

However things are about to change....

After centuries of suffering at the hands of their enemy, the Gorn Hegemony has rebuilt their fleet introducing new technology and designs in the late 2280's. With their continued peace with the Federation the Hegemony has never been more vibrant. Constant commerce between the two powers and continued friendship has strengthened the region and the Gorn have returned to their rightful place as one of the more powerful Empires in known space.

The Gorn, despite their prosperity have learnt to be cautious, the Romulan Star Empire, the Gorn's blood enemy, has remained silent since their Ambassador was exposed as a co-conspirator in the Khitomer assassination plot. Some say it's embarrasment, others say they are biding their time. However intelligence reports on Romulan fleet movenments have flooded in, indicating mass fleet re-deployments. Reports are sketchy at best, but it seems the Romulans who have been silent for so many years are securing their boarders and may be ready to move against their neighbours.

The Kzinti who have been absent from interstellar affairs since the 2270's after their last war with the Federation have re-emerged. Seeing the Khitomer Accords as a military build up against them the Kzinti, known for their impulsive and aggressive behaviour have decided to act. Directly, decisively and immediately against their enemies.

The Federation finds that these are not the only problems they face, starships and starbases along their boarders with the Klingon and Romulan Empires have been attacked. Both Empires have denied any involvement with the attacks. Starfleet with the help of their new Klingon allies who are concerned of the abolishment of the peace treaty assist in finding the real culprits and stopping them. The new peace that has fallen upon the quadrants may soon be just a distant memory.

I haven't gotten a lot done on this mod for a very long-time, been incredibly busy as has Syf with real life. As it currently stands I have moved the mod to the Fleet Ops platform and decided to re-do the Federation models to a higher poly standard, something we couldn't do until we moved to the FO engine.

To see some of the new but untextured models go check out my DeviantART profile:

On and off. So much has changed in my life the past few years that I haven't gotten as much as I've wanted. Been doing this one pretty much by myself atm.
