This looks like it would go very well with the Assaulter class, fully upgraded exo suit, and fully upgraded sphere M12 helmet. Berserk mode :-)
I'd rather have an actual Exoskeleton helmet that you could upgrade to have a closed cycle breathing module and that has neck protection greater than level III NIJ, that is a weakness with the Sphere M12 that has screwed me over in the past whilst wearing it with the Exo. Although yes I am aware that it would be very tricky to implement a custom upgrade tree for a new type of headgear, but perhaps it could recycle the upgrades from the Curtain helmet since the SSP-99 helmet took its place and already has such a module built in to it.

Wait, will it be able to chop down trees? I doubt it as there wouldn't be much purpose in it and knowing the engine it would probably cause more errors than results.

No chopping down trees unfortunately. Zone's flora is way too contaminated for that ;)
But otherwise axe is fully integrated with the new micro-management systems. Nothing beats mutant looting using it, especially with the proper sound sample that we have for this activity :)
I have no experience in modding whatsoever but maybe you could do the same with trees that you've done with animals? I mean, that you could press F on a tree (with an exe in inventory) and a looting window would pop up showing you what you can loot. Just instead of meat you could loot wood. That would serve as a tree chopping mechanic!
Not so easy. Animals are dynamic objects. To make a tree to have such feature, all trees will need to be convertecd in different mesh type like animals.
Next, you need special kind of settings for tree, so they don't move around zone :), that still could be done to some degree.
But most tricky part is to spawn new trees, once you chop down some. And even when that is somehow managed, you need to recreate all maps with SDK level editor.
All in all, too much work for little gain with something that is not naturaly supported with game engine. Not even considering additional CPU load due to those changes.
What about using that tree as a stash?
I think that would ruin my 2Gb RAM but it would be awesome.

I need this so bad right now, so are there any plans for mod's for the axe. It would be pretty cool to add some crow feathers to the axe(It could make it swing faster lol.). Either way this is def going to become apart of my mutant hunting kit.
Man I wish I could play this awesome mod with my friend, like through hamachi - seems like an impossible task but I wish there was co-op. I'm not interested in the Ray of Hope mod since there's not skadovsk in it or better graphics like in misery :P

Make super artifact containers specially for heart of the oasis/ compass, I don't care how many people I gotta cheeki breeki with dis axe for the money, I WANT TO USE THAT ARTIFACT!
Even if I have to cough up $150,000, I want to use them!!!
And if non of that is possible, give me an option to get the heart of the oasis artifact even after finishing the mission where you turn it in :3

how about increased mele damage when using the exo-suit
Stalker always needed heavier melees, I hope this is an improvement in some ways over knife. Something else that would be cool are disposable rockets like RPG-22 etc

can anyone tell me what the actual f... happens near the sawmill in zaton? its like a controller's psy attack but stronger and can't see any controllers,go to the upper lefft corner of zaton and you'll know what i mean
