Is there a way to undo weapon mods in the game? I picked up a FAL PARA, paid to have it repaired (as I could not find the proper weapon repair kit to do it myself.) and decided to trick it out at the same time. In the course of doing this, I decided to upgrade to a night-vision scope. Not a smart move for my play style. A very expensive mistake. Am I just out of luck on the cash, or is there a way to remove the nightvision scope upgrade? (Short of loading an old save, which though another silly mistake of mine, is not really an option.) |

An easy to make mistake. I always try to save right before I start any upgrades because it is easy to get click happy and then do a double take when you find out if you pick this one that one on an the adjacent tree gets disabled. You could sell the one you upgraded and then spawn a virgin one. You would still have to upgrade again (after saving) but if you otherwise love the weapon, it's the only alternative. |

I have a second on, it's just going to be costly to repair and all that. No big deal, just frustrating. I had saved before I upgraded it, but I was silly and used the quicksave, and quicksaved again after the upgrade but before testing. |

Only use quick hard saves not the default quick save or autosaves. They quickly become permanently corrupted and break your game. There is a quick hard save utility. Rotate at least 3 saves and make CYA saves at decision points so you can decide to go back and do it different |
