Greetings Stalkers,

I was wondering how you guys choose your upgrades on weapons and suits. Also what do you guys think about certain upgrade "paths".

In clear sky the upgrade trees of weapons would either make a very accurate weapon, increasing accuracy, handling and reducing recoil - or increasing rate of fire.

In Misery this is still mostly like that but with more guns that have only one upgrade path to take..

So what do you think about these and other upgrade choices, and what would you say are the advantages, how do you upgrade your weapons and suits?

Handling vs Recoil (weapons)

Durabiliy vs Armor (suits)

better light on scopes --> better aiming during the game, but kind of useless while using NV

Handling effects how soon it returns to normal position recoil how much it kicks up. You need to improve both some IMO. It depends on the weapon and weather your in CQC or Sniping too. I usually choose better armor vs durability. I try to get hit less and conserve my armor vs. not worrying about being hit and dying with 99% condition armor :D I never do any contrast upgrades or NV upgrades to weapons. I always manage that in suit upgrades. You can buy NV scope attachment for many weapons making them more versatile. I usually choose recoil or handling over firing speed.

When I upgrade a sniping weapon I always pick accuracy and flatness. For medium range I also prefer this generally. My playstyle is more of a spend more time aiming and making sure shots hit than spray and pray.

Though with a weapon like the cobra ak74, I am pretty happy with fire rate and recoil reduction. I actually really like the cobra. I find it very easy to aim with in tight quarters and it also has very good DPS. Being able to find a lot of ammo for it out in the field is also nice with certain styles of play.

For armour I always get more armour and reduced weight, but armour over weight. Kinda depends on my cash though. If I have a lot of firepower and drugs I can afford to be heavy. If you're heavy in a field with a pistol you might as well just shoot yourself.
