Stalker CoP Steam Update!?!? Thread - MISERY mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

Stalker game just updated on Steam. Does anyone know what it is about? I hope it didn't break my Misery... I'm afraid to launch it.

Steam updates its self, I assure you there are no updates to the game from steam. You should be fine. However, If you validate your game cache and have changed (edited) any of the base files or deleted them it will restore them to original.

I didn't validate cache, and this was specifically for StalkerCOP. At the same time Arma3 updated and I was expecting it, but when I saw that two games were updated, I checked the downloads and it listed both games... This better not be some GSC April Fools joke!

This is strange. StalkerCOP /bin folder updated 3/31/2015 within the folder, the xrengine.exe was modified. File version is 1.6.0.2 @ 1.87 mb. (1,961,264 kb) Could someone humor me please and check their xrEngine.exe and compare?

I have the same, it works fine.

I don't think the file changes any, it just gets flagged with new date. Probably so steam can keep track of when last update was checked. Mine seems to change every time I restart steam.

Yeah, I had same thing with StalkerCOP (don't have any previous stalker games installed although I have them in the library) and a month or two before with Shogun 2 Total War. As I have mods installed on both games these updated tend to make me nervous.
