Specific condition for sunrays? Not seeing any... Thread - MISERY mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

Are there any weather variations that trigger Sun shafts of prevente them from appearing?

Last time I played I remember seeing gorgeous sun rays durin the mornings and evenings, but now i don't see any.

Using dx11 tried with sun rays low, med, high. Volumetric light is enabled ofc.

Tried leaving 100% clear time probability but even with the sun in the horizon I'm not seeing any rays.

When you tick off options in the in-game config menu they are not always properly applied. If you delete the tmp.ltx in the _appdata_ folder, copy user.ltx back into the same folder and rename the copy tmp your selections will be fully applied. Also, make sure the copy of user.ltx in the main COP directory is deleted. I always have them turned off because they are one of the most parasitic options when it comes to performance.

I deleted user.ltx from the documents-CoP folder.

Also Anti-Alias needs to be set to at least 2x for sunrays to show up.

That's one of the other top 2-3 performance sucking features. You can go for slower and really pretty or something in between.

Running on a gtx 970 + I5 3750K 3.4 GHz with sunrays + sun quality low + 2x AA + HBAO medium SSAO and I have 60 fps With some very rare dips to 30 at sunsets.

Without overclocking. This game has some great lighting

That CPU is so easy to overclock to 4.5GHZ or better ... That 970 is a nice card. I'm running two R9 290's but it make more heat than I like. I'm waiting for a deal on a 980 Ti Gaming edition.
