screen effect Thread - MISERY mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

is there a way to disable the white static effect whn your near a controller, burer, amd radiaded metal, i know for a fact since i did work near radiaded object before my vision never gone white just tingling in my teeths lol

if there a way to remove the blinding white static it will be helpful

What effect do you want to warn you to "Get out of there Stalker!" ??? I'm not crazy about it myself, especially if you really want to explore the village by the ash heap. However, unless you are in a top notch suit, you really do NOT want to be that close to a PSY mutant or in that strong a radiation field. I just stay the heck away from anything that hot and kill those bad mutties from the biggest distance possible. I haven't played around to see if the effect is less dramatic on different renderers. I'm sure there is a way to swap effects, and probably to reduce the flare or something, but it's not my strong suit.

well in jupiter station i got killed sooo many times coz i was near a radiation object i could not see anything, could not see a chimina jumping in my face its distracting phy field i can understand but radiation? i wanna remove that effect coz if i die by radiation its my fault for not checking my rads or using anti rad meds or take procution

It's going to take someone with a much better level of knowledge than me to help you. When one of them has time they will probably jump in with a couple pointers. I looked around and couldn't find anything obvious. Get the best radiation protection you can manage for now

ok i might have not explain it radiation is not a problems, its thw white static filter over the screen that i wanna disable, in misery the only thing that does not kill you is radiation lol everything else will lol

The effect is there because you are being exposed to heavy radiation. If you have gear with strong radiation protection you should have a much weaker effect. If you are wearing just a trench coat with a cloth mask there will be much more of the whiteout than if you are wearing an eco suit. AFAIK there is nothing of significant value anywhere there is strong radiation. There used to be a good rifle in one of the zombie village stashes that has strong radiation, but it's not a rifle there anymore. Until someone comes along who can tell you how to tone down that effect, you simply don't belong anywhere you experience it. It really means Get out of there Stalker.

am on free play am using heavy gear like duty heavy armor with a heavy helmet, i did test it with a sci suit still as strong effect even if am taking no radiation dmg
