Noah has yet again bit the dust somehow so I used the following instructions to spawn him back into the game, however when I ask him about the Helicopters and choose "Let's go" he just stands there and I'm unable to move or do anything. Not even the esc menu works.

pawning Noah is really easy. Turn on the debug as above, then using the spawner, use these two lines.

In the squad field: zat_b18_noah_squad
And in the Smart Field: zat_b18

Aside from that, Noah is really pointless. You can just spawn the compass directly to your feet to skip out all the "find Noah at the old barge" etc.

Did I miss something ?

Some characters work well after you spawn them, some don't. You can, in fact, navigate the anomaly and teleport yourself to the plateau. Although, I don't recommend it before you have an ecologists suit. Even walking through after Noah transports you is hazardous without significant heat protection and will ravage an improper suit. Instructions for any items/characters you might need to spawn are buried somewhere on one of my comments pages in my profile. I add to the file as I help new people spawn something to keep it up-to-date.

Oh right! Reminds me of resurrecting Dogmeat in Fallout 3 - Not only did you have to enter the NPC ID but also a reset of the quest phase was required. Not sure how Harry got it working with this method.

Perhaps Noah will stumble upon a strange artifact that gives him awesome damage mitigation, or an artifact that resonates with a certain frequency which repels attackers for 2.2 ? Hint hint! :)

Noah is much less likely to be killed in 2.2. It can still happen, but I seldom experience it in Beta play.

That is good news!

Come to think of it, Noah really picked a crap spot for his Ark, it's a real hot-spot there I've noticed. Someone should at least tell him to plug the giant hole in his roof!

He is Crazy after all ;) He will also leave his fort to chase wildlife around which gets him killed. I made some tweaks to mutant relations to prevent cats from seeking out Lassie which makes them much less persistent in squeezing through the cracks to get at her.

He is crazy, there's no denying it. But maybe there is method to his madness ?

Perhaps this is what he envisioned:

I want to put him behind a counter (where he can't get killed) and have him exchange Pseudodog puppies for 10 or 20 snork masks :) That's the only kind of companion I could ever want.

Aww Pseudodog puppies! I want one! And if I can't have one I want a litter of Tushkano pups that I can train to do my evil bidding hehe.

They hinted at the possibility of obtaining a pseudo pup in Lost Alpha and I have been pining for one ever since. A Psy dog would be cool too ... casting false images your enemies shoot at while you decimate them ....

Hah! Considering they managed to get vehicles working on the XR engine, I wouldn't be surprised if that became a possibility. Love that mod, but having been spoiled by COP's more refined engine and the likes of Misery, I can't see myself going back to play it. The SHOC engine feels so rigid by comparison, but Lost Alpha is no less than a masterpiece!

The vehicles sort of work. The physics engine in xray doesn't handle them well. I think you can spawn them in CoC. Lost Alpha needed them because of the huge, albeit empty, maps.

Yeah true. Felt like they only had 3 wheels or something. I recall spending 30 minutes trying to drive around a fallen tree.. But once she got up to speed wooo!

True, and then you run over a rat and fly through the air and break into a million pieces LOL.

Rofl! Those were the good old days! :)
