So I started up CoP today to find it would crash on startup for whatever reason. I validated game files through steam and it must've replaced xrgame.dll. Does anyone the .dlls from Misery handy, the 80 degree one specifically? |

When you validate files through steam it can mess up your install. Look for a bogus copy of user.ltx in the main COP directory and delete it. Was the Misery mod working well before and then it suddenly stopped? If so, you may have a corrupted save game. Avoid using quick or auto saves as they quickly become corrupted and saves based on them will be corrupted. There will be a user.ltx and tmp.ltx in the _appdata_ directory. Deleting them both will make your misery install return to default settings. You could try deleting tmp.ltx and copying user.ltx into same directory. Rename the copy tmp. This should be done each time you change video options to ensure they are applied correctly. If you do it that way you won't have to fix any custom key bindings you have created. I always us the default FOV, so I can't help much with that. Higher FOV will require more resources and could cause complications. Edited by: jasper34 |
