Hello,

Noticed Recon recovering health at slow pace. I've tried messing with actor.ltx setting the -0.000045 modifier on health restore but it does not help.

Is this a bug or?

The different recovery rates and aptitudes (with medical items, etc.) are intentional.

I understand that, but is it normal that he is regenerating his health without taking medkits, for example, if I get hungry I lose some health, eat, health gets regenerated. That being said same applies after a firefight.

I never play recon, but each class recovers health slowly over time. Recon probably less slowly. You can reduce the healing factor by bringing the number closer to zero, or you can be really hardcore and make it 0.0.

I thought medkits worked a bit too fast and too strongly, so I did an add-on to make them heal at 1/10 the speed and also less overall. The beautiful thing about this engine is you can tweak quite a few things to your hearts content and make things balance more to your preferences.

I suggest anyone interested in playing with a setting change it from = 0.001 to = 0.0015; 0.001

Everything after the semi-colon is a note. Putting the original setting after the semi-colon makes it much easier to remember what you did, to what line, and compare the results. Some settings work the opposite way you think, so more negative might actually be better. It also makes it easier to spot and then restore if it didn't do what you wanted.

Oh ok, I thought Health was not supposed to regenerate but if its mods philosophy I do not mind.

The thing is i did set it once to 0.00000 and it still regenerated.

But nevertheless great mod, i love just how much preparation you must do before heading out, and how you must specifically set your gear up for the objective you wish to fullfill, keep up the good work, and I hope we see 2.2 soon.

Take a look also at your armor. Some have health regeneration upgrades. I joined the team late, it is also possible that the original game had some heath regeneration and our tweaks simply reduce the vanilla rate by varying degrees. I have not played the vanilla game for years and don't really recall.

Also, it is easy to edit a file in the wrong folder sometimes. You could have edited the file in the mod folder versus the installed file.

At one point, from what I recall, the devs did try to get life to not regen at all....however because things have bugs what happened is sometimes even when you've filled hunger to max you would lose life. AFAIK nobody ever found out why so the life regen was restored to prevent people dying from nothing.

Personally I am fine with very slow regen....since you know, we actually do that IRL. But it should take days to go from half life to full.
