operation oneshot Thread - MISERY mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

Im once again at the oneshot mission in pripyat, and I have taken extra care this playtrough to have enough hardsaves in case something goes wrong. Now im not sure if thats the case, maybe you guys can help.

I want to eliminate the clients, so the guys with the green eco suits. (I want more mercs in freeplay)
So after several tries where I got detected in the window I lowered alife to 250 and sniped all 3 green suited guys dead. Running towards the corpses I get a message "2nd target escaped" which I think is strange since 2nd target is dead and first target is the merc leader.

When I visit the laundromat im interpreting kovalsky is saying that both targets are alive??

You may have started sniping too early. First mercs arrive, then the client's bodyguards and then the client. All clients bodyguards wear green suits just as client. However, client arrives after brief pause after all bodyguards are in place so if you didn't wait for him to show up, he probably escaped. Safest way to get it done is to wait until both green suit guy and merc leader are next to each other and start talking. That is also best way to get both of them. Also, this is good place to use that Gauss rifle.

yes you were right, usualy I start shooting when they exit the building because they are nicely lined up then...this time I waited tíll they started talking, and got only 2 of the green suited guys. now the mission is complete, not sure what changed though since I definatly killed the guy with the keycard also the first time..

You need to hide completely from view until they are facing each other or they notice you and quickly bail. Like they said the only way your sure to get either leader is to wait until they are facing each other.

The gauss and the SVD you get handed are both way too slow firing for success in that mission. This is especially so if you want to kill both targets and all their body guards for maximum loot. Max's SVU is the fastest firing Sniper Rifle, the AS Val is pretty good too with enough ammo capacity you can kill them all with one clip if you have a bit of luck. Make sure you have the weapon you really want to use equipped in your second (left hand) slot. Then when you get handed that slow SVD you don't have to waste time putting it back in inventory and selecting the weapon you want. An RPG works pretty good too if you just want the 2 leaders, but by the time you switch to a second weapon they scurry away like rats ...
