So i came back to misery after a short break and encountered a strange issue where NPCs have a bubble around them repelling me. I didn't have this issue when i was playing last time and i did not modify/change any files. Tried a clean install and reducing ph_box_size but neither helped.

I don't believe it is a MISERY problem, probably installation issue. Uninstall MISERY, Uninstall COP, delete the COP folders entirely. Fresh COP install, start and save the vanilla game once. Fresh MISERY FULL install (install as ADMIN), start a new game. Even the smallest leftovers from prior mods can totally wreck a new game with a new mod. It's a pain, but we have to do it each and every new patch to the 2.2 beta to avoid confusing any issues with interference from leftovers. It is the surest way to eliminate that line of possible issues.

Tried reinstalling everything 2 more times with same results. The weirdest thing is that i have been running the same combination of Misery 2.1.1 + TAZ for the last several months (didn't play any other mod) and it just happened by itself. The only change to my game files was the recent update but i thought that was just some MP fixes.

It was, but could possibly wreck your saves. I saw absolutely no change on the 2.2 beta side. Did you start a new game? If you are using TAZ, give mp5lng a shout and see if he can shed any light on it.

I started a new game with every re-install and just to be sure i tried it in vanilla CoP and Misery without TAZ and the bubble is still there. Fortunately its not anything game breaking (yet) so i guess i'll have to stick with it. Thanks for the help.

Are you playing the same FOV as before? FOV really changes the way things appear. High FOV (besides the fishbowl effect) makes it seem like I am too far away from walls I am hugging, etc. I always use 55 FOV. I can't think of any other graphical settings that might affect that. You can change FOV's without reinstalling, If you want instructions, let me know.

I always use 75, but i tried changing it using the language/fov switcher to see if it would help but it didn't. I recorded a short clip to show what it looks like - Video . In the clip im walking side to side but still get pushed away from Beard.

Great video demonstration! I'm still clueless LOL.

So, to recap: You don't have anything except COP 1.6.02 + MISERY 2.1.1 FULL installed(downloaded from ModDb), haven't changed any files, and started a new game.

Can you post a save game(just the .scop file)? I can try it out on my system. If it works fine, as I suspect, then there has to be something corrupting things on your end.

CoP 1.6.02 and Misery 2.1.1 from Moddb full install, no files changed, new game. Save as sniper.

You're right! I saw the same thing on your save and a new game of my own. Maybe this is some effect of the recent file changes downloaded from steam ??? I was not experiencing this at all on 2.2 beta before I reinstalled. I will get back to you ... thanks for pointing it out ;)
