So I will try to make this short has possible. I wanted to know if anyone could tell me how to decrease my maximum weight capacity. What im looking for is to limit the amount of weight I can actually carry, meaning that any extra weight will prevent me from moving at all. As it stands, Misery has an extremely high weight capacity of over 100kg " cant say the exact value".

However i want to do this without messing with any stamina values, meaning that my caractor will sprint and walk the same way as before, however he will be grounded once he hits that weight capacity of lets say 65kg. Im trying to mimic the gameplay of autumn aurora, where a player is very limited towards what he loots. I think that in Misery this should be even more interesting since weight properties of items is far more realistic, meaning that my loadout, my loot and my economy should change dramasticly.

Can someone provide me the information of what file and the exact value to change in order to apply this?? Thanks in advance for any helpfull response. :)

I don't know if this is exactly what you are looking for. You can edit the additional_inventory_weight and additional_inventory_weight2 of the outfit you wear. You would have to edit each one you wear to counteract your carry weight to whatever degree you like. Say you can carry 65 Kilos including armor, helmet, knife, rifle, 3 mags of ammo and 1 each food, medkit, etc. You could change that factor to allow you no more than 3 kilos extra or whatever fudge factor you want to allow so you can drop one weapon for another, carry another mag, but no food, etc. Or you could just change how much the armor weighs so it takes up all but your chosen number of kilos capacity. Since I never use more than 3 outfits in an entire game, it shouldn't be too hard once you decide on the magic equipment weight capacity number.

Thanks for the quick response Jasper. messing with the armors weight capacity isnt what I was looking for. I wanted to change the actors weight capacity. All suits already come with the encumbrance boost, so they dont really weigh as much as they seem when equipped. is it possible to change the overhaul weight capacity, or is it only possible by changing the capacity suit by suit like you mentioned?

That's what those factors are they offset the armors weight and add extra capacity. They could just as well be negative numbers and lower the weight capacity. Changing the actor, if it's possible, would still leave the number changing every time you change suits.

Alright, so I messed around with those two values on my heavy trench coat, and the results were surprising, but not in the way I intended.

So changing its additional_inventory_weight2 to -50 didnt seeem to have any effect that i could notice. Then I alsow changed the additional_inventory_weight to -50, and then i was able to get myself stuck when carrying 105 kilos of gear. however.... anywhere below that, I get infinite stamina. if a carry an extra gram, i get stuck, but if i take that gram out, i can literally speedrun the entire zone without any stamina loss. perhaps theres another line i need to change in order to balance this out.

There are some numbers in the actor file in creatures folder IIRC. It's been a while. something like max item mass. The neg 50 probably has a counter-intuitive effect on allowable mass. Put your changes in like this 50; original value. Everything after a semicolon is ignored and it's a great place to leave notes or original values.
