Degtyarev: *look at radioactive raw meat. pretty lady poster on the wall.

James Bond:Get at least one beautiful woman per movie.
Degtyarev: The only pussy he found are the ones trying to eat him.

James Bond: Rolax Submariner can act as flash light, laser cutter, advanced electromagnet shield.
Degtyarev: the only time device is the sun. Have to buy his own battery for flash light.

James Bond: Wather PPK pistol, with ammo and silencer attachment.
Degtyarev: Hunting knife, at least it's sharp.

James Bond: Dagger shoe can kill with one kick.
Degtyarev: Boots.

James Bond: Lektor Decoder can decipher messages.
Degtyarev: Where is Nitro? Still owe him some money for decoding message.

James Bond: Aston Mart DB5 can revolving licence plates, spinner hubcaps that doubled as tire slashers, passenger ejector seat, rear bulletproof shield, forward machine guns concealed behind the headlights, rearward defences including smoke and oil slick sprayers and rockets.

Degtyarev: Cigarette with the price tag of a rocket.

James Bond: Motorcycle with Rocket booster.
Degtyarev: Drop the bag and RUN!

James Bond: Fully functional scientist lab to solve his problems.
Degtyarev: Alcoholic won't even clean a gun without drinking Vodka, and no tools.

Guys I know the Russian Economy isn't doing great, totally sucks to be Russian secret agent.

Personally, Degtyarev reminds me more of Bane. Hes constantly on drugs and meds and carries around 100-150 kg of gear while single handedly killing groups of fully armed villains and dangerous mutants.

Yeah but he's USSA secret agent. Who's his CO anyways, by the time Degtyarev's boot hit the mission ground he's already broke and can't find his next meal never mind choppers.

He's a Major, and secret agent. Equivalent of solo CIA black op, who will receive backup such pin point air/missile strike, weapon/ammo crate, safe house and when it comes to extraction the chopper comes to the operative, not half way cross the town filled with gun wielding mobs. It seems to me they are setting Degtyarev up to get him killed.

Yeah that chopper thing is a bit of a plot hole. At the very worst they could have hovered over the laundromat and lowered some ropes.

Still, I like to use Black Road to explain the lack of equipment. The Major went in with top-notch gear but lost it all somehow (affected by a psychic anomaly, robbed blind by bandits, rough encounter with a horny pseudogiant - I usually pick something different each time) and has to try to stay alive and finish his mission anyway.

Despite all of this that don't go in Degtyarevs favor, he still rocks in the zone

If Degtyarev have all this fancy stuff on start, you will be finished game in 20 minutes or less, you will have too litlle time to enjoy all new features of mod

James bond: perfect hair and just some speckles of dust on his clothes after massive explosion that killed all bad guys and leveled their headquarters
Degtyarev: on his way to kill the bad guys, half way gets attacked by a pack of dogs, has to return to icebreaker to repair gasmask cause he's unable to see trough it

Degtyarev was probably send on a mission without return due to his massive cocain/weed/booze habbit, which he can only freely live out in the zone...with 1-2 packs of mixed nuts for the day!

Wouldn't you just love to pop one of those compressed air rounds into Hermann's mouth like he did in Live and Let Die? That shark gun would or those rounds would be a nice addition to arsenal too.

As far as Hermann goes, I'd like to take a hammer and a couple of nails and nail his feet to one spot.

Would be nice to have such weapon. Why Hermann though, he's so incompetent he can't harm anybody. Never had real issue with Hermann.
Mappie on the other hand.... I would stab him and give him a medkit so I can stab him again. When I ran out of medkit I will drag him out to feed the dogs, and follow the dogs around just to watch them shit him out.

I'm with the shark, little B won't stand still. Some specialized ammo would be fun ... some Chimera Pheromones for the Shark gun in addition to the compressed air rounds. Like a paintball round you could mark targets whether NPC or Hard target you want to draw them too and watch the festivities. GPS tag so you could track a target from discrete distance.

Snag and Magpie are little weasels too.

Tranq darts to capture and interrogate or LSD darts to make enemy loopy.

Tranq Darts would be awesome. Skyrim where they allow player to modify weapons and add poisons to weapons can create paralysis effect. Not sure how can we do that in Stalker. I did try to modify the damage_type in weapon stats, change from fire_wound to other type of damage. So far the effects aren't very obvious.

The ammo's are really tricky to mess with. I managed to create bullets that would pass through steel and foot of concrete and/or 2 Exo clad NPC's with one shot, but never could figure out how to just stun the snot out of someone like a beanbag round.

A flare gun would be quite nice, NPC's could use it if they are in trouble (loose ~50% of squad) to call their buddys to help if they are close by...would work on both ways of course, flare should definatly attract mutants and other NPC's..would be awsome to set ambushes as well!)
