Finding Unique Weapons | Locked | |

Hiya folks, first post here. This forum has been a lot of help on my playthroughs of Misery. I'm here because there are a few unique weapons that I can't find locations on. I'm sure any info presented here regarding any weapon will be really helpful to anyone also searching for unique/rare weapons. At the moment, I can't find Snag's AKS-74u despite doing his questline. Did I miss a step or is it a glitch? Or perhaps it has been removed from the game? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Not sure if it was removed or gets picked up by the bandit and then vaporizes from his body when you kill him. I wouldn't be surprised if it reappears soon or is in mp5Lng's The Armed Zone mod. You're not the first to mention it, so not a problem on your end. |

Ah, that's a shame. It would be really nice to have something to do as a Recon with all these 5.56x39mm rounds. AK-105 is just too common to be cool! In any case, if anyone else would like to divulge the locations of other unique/rare weapons, feel free! |

Assazin's FN-FAL is in box upstairs in the Pripyat Kindergarten and there's a KSVK in the Prometheus theatre. You can buy a FAR-15 by getting the Kingpin achievement and doing some other main missions. There's also one stashed somewhere in Pripyat IIRC, I forget where but someone else will probably post it. |

The weapon stashed in Kindergarten depends on class, but I think it is probably always unique. The KSVK isn't unique but it is a beast. I played with tweaking the ammo to make it truly an anti-material rifle and had lots of fun taking out 2 NPC's with 1 shot and shooting through walls, concrete poles and steel doors. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to line two EXO suit clad NPC's up for a 2-for-1 shot. |

lol 2 for 1 shot is always fun. I know it is exceptionally difficult to line up NPC for such shot. The best place to look for such targets is ranger station in Zaton. Bandits spawn there got decent chance will walk in single file a long the road. With none tweaked ammo I managed to kill 2 with single hit and injured the third. If you like to try unique weapons, you can add them to the trader's inventory so you can test them early in game. Edited by: DesertEagleV |

I've noticed that the M24 SWS "Green Dragon" appears in Owl's and Bonesetter's inventories. I thought that it was a unique weapon. Also, on another topic, is Nimble's F2000 just worse than a regular F2000? |

M24 not unique in 2.0 on. Yes Nimble's FN2000 is the suck a** civilian one. |

The dialogue of certain NPCs certainly needs a change, then. They're giving out false information! I should hope they get rid of the whole "Green Dragon" thing. It gives off the false impression of a unique weapon, in my opinion. Also, the OTs-33 "Pernach" should just be named the OTs-33 Pernach. Same deal, except the OTs-33 is formally named the Pernach. |

There are a couple old dialogs still leftover from Misery 1.0 or something. Of course they lie to you when your asking for something valuable for nothing ;-) |

It would be cool to have a mechanic similar to Owl's where you could pay random NPCs varying prices for random bits of information such as stash locations or Artifact locations. Edited by: FaceJP |

Like in the bar in Shadow of Chernobyl and several other bars, I agree. Some could be good intel, some ambushes with which are which randomized. I wouldn't mind being waylaid by Bandits or others occasionally with a choice to give up a weapon or goods or fight your way free. |

I have, at last, found the Sig 552 commando carabine. Piece of beauty, she is. |

You would enjoy Famas then. Same caliber ammo but much better looking. I can only tell you it is in Pripyat. |

DesertEagleV wrote: I had to stash my 552 though, it was a carabine class, low proficiency. Is the Famas classed a carabine, or as a rifle? |

I believe Famas is assault rifle. Medium for Recon if I remember correctly. |
